I reserved a van and upon pickup there was no van available. I tried messaging customer service and received NO response after waiting 20 plus minutes. I lost an hour of my rental time waiting on someone to help me fix it

Lawrence AHonestly the people at the location were annoying to have to work with. I stood at their counter for 15 minutes waiting for service and had to go outside and call them in to help me. When the guy came in he asked me for the VIN number of my vehicle, I told him I had a reservation number but he said that wouldn’t work. So we called a number with a guy remotely who managed my reservation. He blatantly tried to upcharge me for the insurance which I denied at every step of the reservation. The people on location just acted like I was such a hassle for trying to pickup a U-HAUL that I rented, and it cost me time on the job I was headed to. I rent with UHAUL a lot for my furniture business and it was just way more difficult than it needed to be and different than my other U-HAUL experiences so I won’t be renting again from this location.
