If the fuel tank was left full it would make it much easier to determine how much fuel is in the tank and how much you need to fill it. When I took the vehicle I was told it had half a tank. I only drove it 16 miles and fueled up with 3 gallons thinking that should cover it. But when I returned the vehicle the tank was just below half and I had to pay another $20 for fuel. That just left a sour taste in my mouth. Otherwise I was happy with the rental.

When I went to get the truck, it was sitting in a massive puddle over 6" deep. I asked the staff to move the truck out of the puddle and was informed that no one there had a driving licence and was not able to move the truck.They finally offered to loan me a pair of flip flops so I could move the truck, which I used as I needed the truck. No one did a circle check of the truck with me which really surprised me. I was really disappointed when I got the truck home and found a hand cart and bag of blankets attached to the inside wall of the truck. I did not need them, did not want them and they were in the way. That should have been mentioned in the listing for the truck and been something that I could choose to have or not. That alone would give me pause before renting from U-Haul again. Moving is stressful enough without having space taken up with stuff I do not want that makes the move more difficult. This has not been an experience that I would want to repeat.
Robert dThe overhead door to the trunk was broken and wouldn’t stay up. When my boyfriend was walking under it with furniture in his arms the door came crashing down on his head. Luckily he is young and healthy so he is fine but if that hit him in the back or if it were someone else under there it could have been really bad. When i mentioned this to the worker when i dropped off the truck all she said was “oh well a lot of people complain about that”. The truck was filthy as well. The steering was very loose and completely out of alignment. there was also no backup camera. When i voiced these concerns nothing was done and i was not compensated. I will not be using this location again.
Mia TThe booking system isn’t configured properly. We booked for 6am mobile pickup but this location doesn’t even offer mobile pick up. Then, head office said the location opened at 7am, but actually didn’t open until 8. Then it took the girl 30 minutes to unlock the vehicle from the system because it hadn’t been retuned in the system properly. The girl was rude. The vehicle was filthy and had not been cleaned at all. Even after being 2.5 hours late to get the vehicle we were told the vehicle had to be returned by 2pm. We tried, but because we were so late the gardiner, lakeshore and DVP had been closed - our intention with the 6am start was to miss this and be back in lots of time. The girl was again rude when we called to explain we were going to be late returning as though it was our fault ‘why didn’t you call earlier’ ‘the next people are already here’. A $50 credit doesn’t touch the level of dissatisfaction we have. And I guarantee no effort was made to clean that vehicle for the next people.
Dean TThis was an extremely confusing drop off location. They didn’t take my key and had me drive to another location to drop it off and then I got calls the next day because they couldn’t locate the key. I was told on the phone the next day that this location does not take one way truck drop offs. Why was I sent here?
