I had a very disappointing experience with U-Haul customer service. On Friday April 3rd, 2026 at 3:27 PM, I received a voicemail stating that I owed an additional $220.18 for an extended rental, followed by “it is now out of my hands” and that I would not be able to rent again until the balance was paid. There was no explanation of the charges, no breakdown, and absolutely no effort to assist or resolve the issue. The tone of the message was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. As a customer, I expect clear communication and basic respect—not a vague demand for payment with no support or guidance. If this is how billing issues are handled, it reflects very poorly on U-Haul as a company. Customers deserve transparency, professionalism, and actual help—not abrupt messages that leave you confused and frustrated. I hope U-Haul takes this seriously and improves how they communicate with customers.
