The Dairy Store opens at 9 AM and the truck keys are inside, so if you want a truck earlier than 9 AM, rent it somewhere else. That being said, the folks running the Dairy Store are friendly and helpful.

The U-Haul itself was very clean and it was great to be able to do all this online. Our rep, Nancy, responded immediately and we were able to get the heck going. The location (a beer/liquor depot with heavy garage-door shutters to keep out the riffraff) was unsettling for we two women at 8am when there were few others about. However, the location was close to us, and, therefore, the convenience was a real plus. Thank you most of all for the ease of the online service; it was seamless -- just plain fabulous.

Quick and easy pickup. No problems whatsover. They do send a text to call and confirm your rental but when you call it goes straight to voicemail which says voicemail box is full. My rental was still reserved and ready even without ever reaching anyone to confirm it so you can skip that step.

Horrible experience. Location changed the day before for pickup, I was not told it wasn’t an in person experience so I spent OVER 35 minutes waiting on my ID verification online while no one on the phone was willing to help expedite the process until after 30 minutes of no response had passed. As a woman waiting alone in an unsafe area of town, this was a terrible and scary experience. Absolutely unacceptable.

There were items left over from a previous renter in the van. The attendant had gas listed at 5/8 tank, when it was 1/2 full, and seemed irritated when I came in to let him know and ask that he alter the form (which shouldn't have been incorrect in the first place).

Two other locations had a bad experience and walked out. Second time renting this location and both times has been outstanding. Use this location in the future and recommend to others. The Grandview location on West 5th was unprofessional as was the location on SR 40 at 38 in London (which was worst). This location has been excellent for rentals. Thanks.

The experience was terrible. The reservation was lost, again and again. The desirable truck's availability/location was switched again and again. Finally, when checked in to pick up the truck, no reservation was found. The agent has to compromise by letting me use someone else's truck, limiting to 2 hours, instead of the 4-hrs reserved. Also, the substitute truck is bigger than our desirable one. The agent said he'll only charge the price for the desirable smaller truck. But, the internet bill showed that the charge was for the bigger one. For this kind of lousy service, how much longer can you stay in business?

Just so customers and Uhaul can be aware, 'The Dairy Store' is a corner liquor and convenience store that looks abandoned from the outside. My pick up experience was terrible and there needs to be much more information provided to the customer for this pickup location. I also have never used the self-pick up with my mobile phone so I went through the online process with very little knowledge or trust in the steps that I was going through. At one point I closed my phone's web browser and when I reopened the page I was on a different step with NO option to 'go back’. While the self pickup seems to be an easier option, the web application did not function properly and the shop owner at my pickup location was a huge problem as to why I had such a terrible experience. My pickup time for my reservation was 9:30am however when I arrived, I did not see any main entrance, door or otherwise area to go to receive my keys. There was no one around the building except for who individuals who appeared to be homeless. I went through my self-pick up process on my phone and the webpage showed a photo of a door I was suppose to go to, but again - I saw zero door. The building appeared to be completely abandoned. I went through the steps to pick up the truck on my phone, thinking that there may be more information about my pick up if I proceeded through the steps. At the end of the process I received a screen that said I had completed my pick up, and my only option was to return my truck. I did not yet have my keys and I was completely confused and frustrated. I called the customer service help line to cancel my reservation because I did not have my keys nor did I see the door/exact location to pick them up. I also had already been waiting 15 minutes to see if anyone (a uhaul rep, the store owner, anyone) would show up. I didn’t feel comfortable waiting at the location much longer. I was sitting in my car, in a sketchy parking lot, with homeless people sitting outside of a building that I was supposed to get my keys from. At 10am I was still on hold, however a car pulled up to The Dairy Store and a man (who I assume was the manager) opened up a large, roll-up door and - big surprise - there was the door that Uhaul had shown I needed to go for pickup. I was still on hold so I remained in my car, however I saw the shop owner open a small lock box next to the door I saw online. He then placed a couple sets of keys into the lock box next to the door and went into the shop. I was on hold for 15 minutes before a representative even answered. I explained my situation to the representative, said I did not have my keys nor did I know how to get them, explained that the shop owner just now arrived at the location and I asked to cancel my reservation. I was cut off by the representative to be told I could not cancel my reservation because I had already picked up my truck and “it says the Dairy Store is open at 9:30am, are you sure no one is there?” I explained ver
