Communicate with the customer more through the mobile app. I stood by the Uhaul truck for over half an hour trying to obtain The code to the lock box. Also, the truck had terrible brakes. I felt as if I had to keep away from cars to avoid possibly hitting them when braking. Uhaul May want to let customers know how long the process of using the mobile app will take so they are aware.

Experienced major problems with the U-Haul app and website when picking up and returning vehicle. Called customer service and waited 20 plus minutes for assistance. Ended up leaving vehicle without completing the return process due to all the problems. Van was fine, new, and relatively clean. If I could be assured that the app worked, I would definitely use this U-Haul location in the future.

Dealing with ashco was very good but 1-800-go uhaul a very frustrating experiance.After finally getting reservation set up i had to settle for pickup truck instead of rental that i wanted.Told me day before rental day.

Your mobile experience is terrible. You need to let people know they will have to do that. Why not let me know in advance that I can take pictures of my license. The email said I could bring a lease and a passport along with my ID. Then when I get there I have to give them a phone number of someone to call. It’s 11 am on a Friday. People are at work - who should i call? I wasn’t informed i would need to do this. Also your online agent was not communicating well. Overall a bad experience. I would use Uhaul again but I would just have the desk agent at the location do my administrative stuff instead of using the app.

I had a frustrating experience with the online checkout of the truck. This had nothing to do with the facility or the truck itself. My first issue was with the website. I got to step 4 of the check out process and it asked for a photo. My iPhone camera was not cooperating and I had to close my browser and reopen it. This put me into a loop where it thought I was not yet eligible to check out the truck, even though I was an hour past the pickup time. I called customer service for help. Note: this was a Sunday and there was no one working at the facility where I rented the truck (which I understand and am not complaining about whatsoever). The first woman I spoke to (after a 10 minute wait) took down my reservation number and then put me on hold. After about 5 minutes, the phone rang and a man picked up. So apparently the first woman just decided to transfer my call to someone else, but hadn't given him any of the information. This guy was much more helpful than the previous person. He tried a couple things and ended up pushing out the pickup time to 9:30 (from 8:00) and I was able to check out (using my wife's phone because I did not want the same issue to recur with mine). I then drove off with the truck and everything was fine from there. So my main complains are 1) the app has some kind of glitch. At the very least, you need to add a reset function to start over without calling customer service. 2) the first customer service person basically dumped my call, which I found to be irresponsible.

The truck I had reserved ended up being at a different location, but I was not made aware of that. I ended up taking the only available truck (which was much bigger than I needed) from the location where I was. Not cool.

The location was great the truck was brand new. The only thing that wasn’t great was I set the pick up for 7 and I got there around 8, and the app would not recognize that I was there to allow me to pick up the truck. I had to call the 800 number and it was a long hold. But once they reset the time for later the process was smooth. Overall great experience and if you can make the app a little more flexible around the time you can pick it up the ride share option is very convenient.
