The sales people at this location we’re completely incompetent. The woman who helped me, Jessica, was providing terrible customer service. Upon coming back to this location to get my four wheel vehicle transport (after I had loaded my 20’ truck), was when I had the worst experience. The trailer was hooked up to my U-Haul truck sufficiently, and I was able to move the truck on to the vehicle carrier. But, Jessica never installed the electric cable that connected the truck to the trailer, and never checked to see if my brake lights or turn signals were working. Thus, I had no brake lights on turn signals. Not only did this pose a substantial safety risk, but it completely against the law to operate a trailer without lights. I did not discover this until the next day, after driving 200 miles into my 812 mile trip to Great Falls Montana. I only discovered this when I stopped to get gas, and my passenger asked to see if the brake lights were working on the trailer. I was in such a rush to get on the road, that didn’t even occur to me that Jessica had not perform the safety checks when I got the truck and trailer initially, in Corvallis. Luckily, I was able to stop by a U-Haul store in Pasco Washington, and the employees were able to give me the cable I needed. They could not believe that I was not provided with said part and said that, “that’s totally against company policy, and if that happened here someone would get fired”. I told the employee at the Great Falls Montana location what happened, and he was equally shocked, and made a record of this on my receipt. The whole experience was upsetting, and unless I can get some sort or refund for the trailer, I will never use U-Haul again.

It was no fault of the Corvallis drop off, just having to be charged extra for gas didn't set to well with me, but unless someone cares enough to call to discuss it, guess the issue is dead

1. At checkout for the truck on the computer screen, the attendant was telling me which buttons to push, and told me to push the one that included $14 truck protection which I did NOT want. I happened to know I did not what any protection, so said, no, I'll hit the button with self-insurance, but 98% of the rest of the population would have done what he directed w/o realizing what they were doing. And that is what gives your kind of places a bad name. 2. When I went to do the walk around, knowing I chose no protection, he pointed out damaged areas that were previously marked. But there were LOTS of areas that had scratches and dents that were not marked which of course I wrote down on the form and reflected in photos I took. If "you" are goin' mark areas of previous damage, then mark ALL OF THEM, don't put the burden on the unsuspecting customer. I had no problems on the return and would tell others to rent from this location, but to keep your eyes open and have zero trust in what your employees say and do.

The staff at both my pick up store and my destination drop off store were friendly and helpful. I had a very good experience with the service and the 26 foot van I rented. My only complaint is with the Uhaul storage. You offer a free month of storage but there were no units available when I first reserved the van which was about a month before I needed it. This is understandable, and just a few days before I picked up the van I checked with them again. There was units available and I reserved 3 10x10 units with drive up to bay doors. When I was up at my destination to look at houses and checked in to look at the units and pay, I found they were not drive up to units and they only had one 10x10 reserved for me. I concluded that your 800 number headquarters for reserving units has no knowledge of what the storage places have to offer. Fortunately I found just what I needed at another storage facility. It could have been a disaster for me if I hadn't. You can bet I will never use Uhaul for storage or recommend the facility to anyone.

I reserved this trailer at the South Mission location, just to be informed that I would have to pick it up across town. The night before I was to get the trailer, I was once again informed I needed to pick the trailer up at a location an hour away from where I needed it. I lost over two hours of load time and used a lot more fuel to get this trailer. No effort was made to get this trailer to the requested location. What is the point of reserving the equipment if it is still not available???

Truck body had a lot of dead grass I had to blow out, but cab was good. The young woman who checked me in and out was helpful and sincere. The guy who seemed to be a manager was leaving for the day but actually stopped to come help me adjust the truck's mirrors, saving me time. That is good service!

Horribly unhappy with my experience. I called to see if I could drop off my rental 2 hours late and the woman who was incredibly rude told me it would be a $30 fee. I was fine with that, however they billed me for $65 (they charged for all of the miles during the entire rental). There was no mention of this on the phone. Really, really frustrated and do not plan to use uHaul, especially this location ever again.

The online customer service and the regional dispatch center were HORRIBLE, but I don't see an ability to rate them here. I also had to wait almost 45 minutes to pick up my equipment in Corvallis, but the staff was cheerful and pleasant...just extremely busy.

Please make it clear to customers that the pickup trucks with the towing hitches do not have brake controllers, only the electrical connection to brake lights. I received some erroneous information over the phone.
