Why bother to book on line. When called by U-Haul the day before our pick-up, we were told a 5x8 trailer was available IF I drove to another town 40 miles away. Or I could have a 6x12 for the same money. Of course 6x12 NOT recommended for my vehicle. Took a 4x8 and was able to cram everything in the trailer and our van for the 1400 mile trip. Couldn't U-Haul have delivered a trailer for us in advance?

The lot was full so I had to park behind some other U-Haul trucks already parked in parking spaces.

I forgot tie down straps to hold a refrigerator and the rental didn't ask if I needed them or appliance blankets. If they had asked me if I needed straps maybe I would have remembered I needed them. 100% satisfied other than that!

The pick-up of the truck was efficient and smooth. I was very happy and thankful about that. I had a 15 minute window to get the truck and it all worked out. Sue was great.

Returning the truck was not at all what I would have expected from a business in Ohio. The truck was dropped off as per the agreement, however, the location was not opened to take the truck. We had no clear indication of where to park. We recalled being informed there would be a receiving gate and to pull the truck up to the gate. We did as we were told. We placed all the pads in the cab to prevent theft (recall the lock is our own, and where would the drop off location have a key?). Additionally, the bags indicate to place the pads in the cab. We locked the cab, added a note to the rental agreement with our contact information should there be any problems. Apparently, there were issues with our drop off, because the owner of the location called me SCREAMING and cussing at me stating I blocked his other customers and I was stupid for putting the furniture pads in the cab. I tried to explain the aforementioned reasons, and he hung up on me. He later called back to apologize, which I initially accepted from him. He said he was a "Christian man" and doesn't talk to people like that. I explained what happened including the reason for the pads in the cab. I also let him know that we had given some of the pads back to the original location as there were far more than we needed. I thought all was resolved, until this am, 10/31/2016, his wife called me wanting to know where the extra pads were. Now, clearly, I told her I already explained to her husband yesterday where the extra pads were, when he called to apologize for cussing and screaming at me. She laughed and said " he was pretty mad". I was completely baffled, and figured his whole apology was a joke and for show, given his other employees laughed at what happened. She then said to me "I wouldn't move here, why did you move here?". This attitude led me to re-evaluate the whole "Christian apology". The owner was quick to throw out his beliefs as guiding principals; I find it ironic his wife would respond in the manner she did. This business has no sense of customer service what so ever. I will not willingly use this business again. I am amazed they are associated with the U-haul brand.
