Friendly staff but training needed; trailer came unhitched which was a major safety issue. Failure to adequetely connect the hitch could have resulted in major property damage and injury and possible loss of life. Initial call to uhaul corporate, the rep was more interested in me taking pictures to protect uhaul than to address me sitting by side of the road so shaken I could not get out of car after trailer repeatedly hit my car and swung into oncoming traffic. Plus, directing everyone to a website is ridiculous in rural areas where you cannot get a signal. I have always enjoyed using uhaul but this was below grade.

I had previously made reservation for 20’ truck several weeks in be advance at J and R auto near Olean NY. The day before pick-up I was informed by Buffalo corporate that none were available there on pickup day and advised to pickup at Cuba location. I do not recall being advised the truck would now be 26’ which I didn’t need. To be fair, I was given 100 free miles. All personnel who dealt with me were hard working, friendly and competent. Overall, I would still use U-Haul again if needed
stephen yI’ve rented from U-Haul and no had no problems before. I had no problems this trip either besides, the app for mobile pick up is very frustrating. Many attempts to submit a picture of my license because it kept telling me it wasn’t a license. The verifying the license takes forever. I tried to submit pictures of the truck 3 times until it finally loaded them. And now I’m being charged for 239 miles drove when I only drove 75 at most. Now I’m being told I’m just out $300 because “that’s not what the odometer says” I will not be using U-Haul again.
