Rented the uhaul yesterday (10/31/2018) returned it today (11/01/2018). To move from my old house to the new house. Keep in mind. Old house from new house is a 10 minute drive. We made 3 trips. Returned uhaul today and they tried to charge me for 531 miles. There’s no possible way even taking ten trips back and forth would come out to 531 miles. I asked to pull back who had truck last to see the miles in from last person. Of course they say they have no record of the last person who rented it. Do not rent from them. They will try and scam you out of extra miles u did not take. Just filed my complaint with uhaul corporate.

My experience was absolutely horrible. The lady Jody rented me the car hauler at 12:45, she asked what time I would be back, I told her hopefully by 8 or 9. She said as long as I was back by closing which was 11pm, that the computer automatically makes her put a time in as a formality. Needless to say when I made it back at exactly 9:05pm I was told I was charged for 2 days! I explained to Latreese that is not what Jodie told me, she rudely told me there was nothing she could do about it, call this number that she wrote on my paper! This is poor communication and customer service. I will never use U-Haul again or recommend this location. I’m charged for 2 days and only had a hauler for less than 9 hrs after I was told otherwise!

This is not a comment concerning the rental location, but rather about U-Haul's customer service and website. I reserved a vehicle on Wednesday and requested a pickup location within 1 mile of my moving site. During the reservation process and on the confirmatory email I received later that day, it GUARANTEED a U-Haul representative would contact me the day before my rental was scheduled (Saturday). On Saturday, having received no call (only the confirmatory email), I called and asked why no one had attempted to call me as the confirmed location was different from my requested location. The CSR told me U-Haul policy doesn't allow repositioning vehicles (guess it's easier to charge for the extra mileage). I asked about the guaranteed phone call and was asked if I still wanted the reserved vehicle, as if I had another option the morning I was making the move. I guess the GUARANTEED call the day prior is optional, at U-Haul's discretion.

I originally was suppose to pick up at the Uhual store in Gulfport and 9 am at 9:45 am there was still no one to open the store. My reservation had to be switched to here.

Rented truck for in-town move. Drove a total of 5 miles. When I returned truck I was told to sweep up the bed. The debris was a few couple of very small fabric that was there when truck was rented it. I was told to sweep it up or I’ll be charged a service fee. The gas reading was 3/4 tank. I was told it should be 7/8 of a tank. The gas tank was 3/4 full and I returned it 3/4 full I did not realized that on the rental agreement it read 7/8 of a tank. So I had to go and put in $9 to fill it up to 7/8 of a tank. So I had to put in $9 to drive 5 miles. I thought the service rep was a little bit nit picky. Her attitude was unfriendly. Every time I tried to explain something she would cut me off before I could finish.

My problem was this location did not allow me to return my boxes instead I had to return my boxes at a U Haul store in Gulfport. Why does U Haul have you drop vehicles at non full service locations? Also there was a location very close to my move location and instead i drove 20 minutes to a location that I couldn't return boxes/

Fraud. The charges were changed when I returned the van, even though I had a confirmation for $19.95 per day. My credit card was charged $79 per day. I pointed out the error and was told that’s just what it is. Called the 1-800 number. The lady was dismissive and rude. The lady at Nick’s was completely incompetent. I have filed a fraud complaint with my bank.

I believe the prices per mile are a little too much. I recommend dropping the prices just a tad. Besides that, I highly recommend U-HAUL. I doubt this information goes anywhere nor will anything change, but just in case, the customer service shown by the employees at Nick’s Mini Storage was superb. The employees were polite and very fast workers.

Awesome service! This was the first time we used U-Haul. tis place is a little way far from where we wanted to pick up but Gulfport, Pass Road did not have the size truck we needed. Gulfport "transferred" our reservation to this location for pick up. The ladies were awesome, awesome, awesome! Quick, knowledgeable, friendly!

The lady working at the U-Haul rental office was very unorganized, inattentive and had poor customer service. She gave me the key for the wrong truck, which was the same size rental I requested but much nicer than the one she was supposed to issue me. The truck was very visibly dirty and stunk of must and smoke. I mentioned it to the lady and she said they didn’t have time to clean it from the last renter. There was no mention of checking the back of the truck for its clean lines before leaving the property, however when I turned the U-Haul in, I was told I had to sweep it out. That is fine but I asked her why she didn’t tell me that the day before so I could do this before turning it in, she replied that she didn’t know who checked me out but that it’s mandatory for this to be done. I told her that she was the one who checked me out and then she said she did not. I gave her my paperwork that showed her signature and she said here’s a broom. No apology and instead of giving me an adequate broom to sweep out a 26 foot U-Haul, she gave me an overly used kitchen broom.
