Pretty tight parking space. Rental authorization makes feel I almost lose connection to the network.

The 24/7 Share made the process of renting a uhaul much more complicated than it had to be. Picking up the uhaul took longer than normal because I had to wait for the GPS to finally figure out that I was in the right place, for whoever it is on the phone to verify that I was the same person that's in my driver's license, and all of this I had to do while standing outside in the hot sun. Then dropping off the uhaul took way longer! I couldn't even turn into the storage place because two other uhaul customers were blocking the entire parking lot because no one was sure where they were supposed to drop off their truck. Then when we finally got into the parking lot I could understand the confusion because all the instructions said was to park your vehicle in an open parking spot, and there was no clear parking spots available. The lot is extremely small and the only spot left was this tiny little space that didn't look like it could fit a pick up. We ended up squeezing into there though because I didn't want to leave my truck anywhere else and risk getting fined. Then when we checked out, the bill said we drove 200 miles more than we did and charged us an out of town fee. So then I had to contact customer service and wait on hold for forever to clear that up. All of these experiences could have been simplified if there was an actual person to talk to in the store.

The gas gauge doesn't read very accurately depending on the incline so be weary about overfilling the gas tank when you return the truck because they don't refund for that!

I did the online checkin and checkout, but could have done the counter. The guys who were working behind the counter were very nice, and it would probably have been faster. Van was great, and perfect for our moving needs that day.

The Stonegate Self Storage U Haul location was fine. I want to register a strong customer service complaint on the U Haul on line reservation system, really a non-system. We used it the previous week and had a horrible experience. We had no notice Stonegate was closed on May 25. There was nothing in the email confirmation about what to do to retrieve the truck. We left on hold for 45 minutes at the 800 number, with an endless loop encouraging us to report problems for later improvements. AARGHH! A second call got us one live person who did everything she could to help us set up a code and account to get the truck, but couldn't. The Stonegate manager later told me he had no record of a reservation being made at his site. He also said the online system was new. Well, get it together before inflicting this non-system on your customers. We will never use it again.

Vehicle was not parked in a location where the truck share would have worked. It was parked behind a locked gate and key wasn’t in a lockbox. Luckily I came right before the office closed or I wouldn’t have been able to rent the van. Staff wasn’t prepared for my arrival and it would have ruined my move.

Replace the passenger side secondary mirror. It was cracked at pickup and made backing up challenging.
