The requirement to call someone who knows me was absurd. I don't have to do that when I buy an airline ticket or a car, when I rent a hotel room, or when I sell stocks or bonds--but I have to get someone to verify that I'm trustworthy? Stupid. Oh, and the lady who waited on me should have her photo in the dictionary next to the word "gruff."

We were shocked to not receive a refund as we turned in our truck within three days even though the estimate was for four and we had 100 less miles than was estimated by our originating U-Haul location. U hauls policy is to not tefund the original contract even if you turn in your vehicle early and if you do less miles than the location estimates in advance. U Hauls policies need to change as this will result in dissatisfied customers like myself .

Provide a full fuel tank and return with a full tank. Our truck had a 3/8 full tank. The paperwork said that for the miles we drove we should have to add 4.4 gallons. On return we added 5.1 gallons and the fuel gauge registered 3/8 full. We received a call about 25 minutes after returning the truck, and 15 miles away, that the tank reading by the dealer was short. I asked how much short and she could not tell me how many gallons the 40 gallon tank was short of the 3/8 mark. I turned around and drove the 15 miles back to the dealer location and took the truck to the next door gas station and added 1 gallon more. The gas gauge looked the same to me at 3/8 full. I returned next door to the dealer who read the gauge and said that know I was a little over the 3/8 mark. To add insult to injury, she adjusted the mileage charge upward by .2 miles to account for the drive to the gas station which was not more than 200 feet away. This dealer hassle changed a good experience to an unsatisfactory one and wasted 45 minutes of my time. I would not rent another truck or trailer from this dealer.

Renting was great returning was not impressed. When returning I felt rushed and was asked to take the trailer we unloaded in the equipment return location back behind the building in the lot. We reloaded if and drove it around. Was told on my way out the door I would get my receipt of return in email.

Not open on weekends. Service contract was not specific where the drop-off location was. Received a text message with the location after I had gone to another location. Help number and dispatch center clueless. Poor communication and loose organization. I'll look into other options next time.
