I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to this U-Haul drop-off location! My experience was great, especially when it came to communication and customer service. Before dropping off my U-Haul truck, I made a phone call to this location and spoke with a young lady who was very professional, helpful, and pleasant to speak with. She communicated with me very well and made the process much easier. I also contacted U-Haul’s main customer service line to make sure everything was communicated properly regarding the location where I would be returning my truck. That experience was great as well! Moving from Georgia to Illinois was already a lot to deal with, so having people who were helpful, understanding, and able to communicate clearly made a BIG difference! I truly appreciate the customer service I received. Sometimes it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it, and good communication goes a long way with me! How U-Haul Reviews WorkYou moved the pick up location 90 min away at the last minute. So 3 hours wasted picking up the truck. The text to unlock the key in the lock box was never sent - had to call an wait online to get the lock box code. The gas tank was less than half full. Truck was dirty in front, back, inside the cab and outside. No pads in the truck. If you hit a bump while driving the cruise control shuts off. If you are on a bumpy road the ABS light comes on and the cruise control shuts off - you have to turn off the engine and wait 2 mins -- so to get it running you have to pull off the highway find a parking lot - shut off the truck - then get back on the highway -- 9 fricking times I had to get off the highway to reset the cruise control. Piss poor all round.
Mark LNot swept clean. Roof leaked into the unit. Thankfully no damage. Mgr was pleasant to deal with, but tried to sell me liability insurance, that I didn't need or want. But, they were flexible when I extended my rental by a week.
George CWas hard to find keys in pooring rain. Truck battery was dead and I had to jump start it.
Patrick KIf it wasn't for the customer service lady this review would be the worst review ever. They said the truck was on the west side of the building, it was not, it was on the east side. We ordered a furniture dolly but there wasn't one in the truck once we found it. The website said we received the truck before we found it so I couldn't get the code for the key. When I called the customer service, she gave me a code for the lockbox but it didn't work. Thankfully she gave us a different truck so we can be on our way. Of course it was her third try because the first code didn't work, the second code didn't have a key in the box.
