The staff in WV really didn't ask the questions that needed to be asked. My issue isn't with the drop-off or pick up. My issue is with the reservation. I reserved for pick up on Monday return on Wednesday. Pick up in Ashland, Ohio. When I confirmed I was told nothing was available and I had to try to pick up in WV, I was charged WAY more than I expected.

Used the 24 hour pick up and drop off and the "pick up my truck" and "return my truck" features on the website wood not work. We almost had to leave without a truck at pick up. Out pick up location was 20 miles away from the location we reserves online but customer service said for some reason I didn't qualify for the guaruntee and even after driving 40 miles out of our way to pick up the truck we still got charged a $50 fuel charge for not being exactly a 3/4 off a tank (it was apparently slightly below 3/4) We aren't moving again for quite a while but after this experience (and our very poor experience a year ago) we will find another company to use!!!!!! I will add my poor reviews are about UHaul themselves I never interacted with anyone at either location but they were easy to find and easy to get on/off the lot.

My reservation was a joke. I asked for a 20 foot truck and wanted to pick it up at Elite storage in Teays Valley and Uhaul set me up with a 26 foot truck in Hurricane, and that size would not fit in my storage area. Then I was told to pick it up in Charleston, then finally was told to pick it up in Dunbar. No one told me about the truck size change until I contacted U-haul, don't assume people want a larger truck. Bad experience!!

The woman at the location had a nasty attitude when I arrived to drop off the Truck, this was because U-Haul failed to update her that they had extended my drop off date and time (Because the equipment I got, specifically the trailer bed I had to have my SUV sit on was not locking my car tires in, which delayed me leaving from PA to WV by several hours and I had to call roadside assistance - guy who came to look at it was great though) so even though I dropped off the truck a day earlier than I was given (I was given 2 more days with the truck). The woman at the location claimed that she did not have the update showing on her end from U-Haul with my new drop off date and was short with me on the phone AND even though I explained it to her over the phone remained short with me. When I got there she met me outside - I guess I wasn't allowed in, and even after showing her proof AND offering to send it to her e-mail AND sending it to her, I had to ask her if I needed to come into the office to sign anything - still remaining short tone she said "no, I'll check it later" and when I asked where I should park the truck, again in a short way with me she said "no leave it my husband will move it". I would have given her a better rating if she would have owned up to her behaviour, or at the very least after I showed her my receipt, proving to her that I wasn't lying, she would have cheered up a bit and saw that it wasn't my fault but U-Haul for not updating her. But no, she still had an attitude and left me asking her the next steps so I could leave the location. This whole experience with U-Haul has left a nasty taste in my mouth, I waited a while to fill out this survey because I wanted to make sure I was doing it with a clear head - I don't know if I would use their services again. I was very excited about my new start and this woman Cams Preowned Auto was the last face and experience I had with U-Haul.
