i was told i would be getting a deposit back, didnt get that back because there was no cash at the place i went to. i have to wait for a check in the mail for the deposit and i have to call and be on hold with uhaul directly because even though i gave the man in duncan my new address, its not in the system. i was told my total would be 116$ and it ended up being over 200$. the truck i got was in mph instead of kph meaning i didnt know the speed i was driving, the entire way. i told the man at duncan that i didnt know where i would be returning but it showed up on the people in nanaimos end as parksville when i had just moved there from duncan. i tried to maps uhaul and it sent me to three different places that werent uhaul or drop off. im very disappointed with your company.

Truck needed to be serviced so we were only able to do two loads because it wasn't safe to drive therefore we missed out on a lot of moving as we had the truck for 24 hours and we got to barely use it for 4

Gent that helped me was professional, friendly and cover off everything, there were no surprises. The van was very new and very clean. Also, when booking the van he was helpful and friendly. A wonderful experience all around. Thank you U-haul .Duncan!

Make the fees for use of the drop off box for the key after hours more clear. I was charged this fee even though I returned the van 22 hours in advance of when it was due back. Fortunately, the customer assistance was very good and the matter was resolved to my satisfaction.

It was terrible customer service. I tried from 9:00am to around noon to speak with someone on the phone, every time it rang someone would pick up and immediately hang up. When I finally did speak with someone he said I was getting the 15' truck. When I arrived at the rental place around 4:00pm to pick it up it took an hour to try and get the rental (I did received an email confirming the 15 ft truck) and also I was the only customer, I was told that the 15' truck was not available even though there was one on the lot and no one was coming to get it until sometime the next day. Eventually after much pleading I got the rental. He just handed me the keys and pointed to where the truck was. That evening I returned the truck after hours & was unable to use the online service as I did not have use of a camera. So I read the instructions and it said to call the next morning & to do it over the phone. When they finally answered the phone he said he is too busy and to wait for an email. Moving is stressful enough with adding all that onto it did not help. I know I will not be using that location again. I will be very wary of using UHaul again not unless I know that the customer service is much better. Thank You

You're truly setting your employees up to fail. I know the employee working had nothing to do with the problems that ensued, but he also had no idea how to fix them. The last weekend before a new month, you have one employee working, obviously there are going to be a ton of people moving this weekend. There were twelve people in line. I was number 4 in line and it took an hour even to get to me. I had a reservation for the mobile app, the app didn't work so I had to wait for the store to open, when I did get to the front of the line, it had been so long that my reservation timed out. I don't have a credit card (not everyone has one) and I only had debit, but the stores debit was down and there apparently was no way to fix it, I'm assuming the employee just didn't have the resources and information he needed to contact someone to fix it. Anyways, long story short, I had a reservation that I paid for, there was no debit, there is no ATM on site or even near the store, so I had to walk for 20 minutes to the closest atm, then walk back, wait in like again behind six people and finally get my truck. I paid him $300 cash for a truck that originally costed me $174 dollars. It seemed like the program on the computer had a lot of bugs which was making the process incredibly difficult, and the employee didn't know how to use it. I asked him if he could apply a $174 credit to the order and he said he doesn't have access to do that. I asked if he could call head office, and he did but he just got put in the regular customer queue. Why don't employees have a direct line to contact uhaul? Every single retail store I have worked at, there is a number for employees to call to bypass the customers, for instances exactly like this one. So he said to me he doesn't want to keep holding up the line of other people "so what do I want to do?" I want my uhaul that I was supposed to have three hours ago! How can your program fail so hard, that your employee resorts to pretty much telling me to move aside so he can help these other people first?! PLUS this guy was obviously so swamped that every time the phone rang, he picked up the receiver, and hung it right back up. How many times? 9. 9 times a customer called that store and he hung up on them without speaking to them. Absolutely one of the worst cases of customer service AND a business service that I have ever witnessed!! I will never ever use Uhaul again!!

The pick up location I was assigned didn't have the vehicle I reserved. So poor experience here. I was redirected to the Boys Rd. location and they straightened everything out quickly and professionally.

The truck was dirty and old, needed repairs, unsafe to drive, a complete RIP off, with all the hidden costs,we used it for 20 miles not 40, someone's not very fair, no one came out to check the milage, very laxadezicle attitude, not pleased
