I am a single female who moved on my own. I asked for help to unload my vehicle from the car dolly and the dolly from the truck. I was told "no one is here to help you and we do not help you. Park the trailer and the truck in back". They were already parked in back and she could see that on the video. This was something I specifically asked about at my pick up location because I was concerned I wouldn't be strong enough to unhitch the dolly from the truck. Also, I was repeatedly asked where the dolly was and when I tried to clarify if she meant the utility, furniture or car dolly she just got louder and repeated "dolly" to me. No one inspected the vehicle. She asked me 3 times about the gas level - to which I confirmed it was at capacity and over the required amount for return. They may have been shorthanded that day, I'm not sure. A simple explanation to clarify would have went a long way and as a reasonable person, I would have understood.

Difficult check in process, had to use the app as a backup. App was difficult to use, would not receive photos. Location did not place dolly in truck, blanket bag was open with no blankets in it (I did not plan to use them, but it made is appear I had opened it). Truck has a driver's door that would not fully close, was not clean.

PHILIP KThis UHaul desk location is inside a neighborhood Food Market. The handheld equipment is NOT stored inside the truck. You have to get it from inside the store & return it inside the store! Unfortunately, the trucks are parked behind the shopping center so you’re responsible to get any rented accessories from inside the store to the lot behind the store where the trucks are located. Afterwards, you are responsible to checkin those rented accessories inside with a Food Store staff and not the Rental staff if returned after 5pm. For all of the trouble you have to go through, you will be charged an additional $20 because the rental staff doesn’t work after 5pm. This “Self-Serve” UHaul rental location is NOT at all User-friendly. 1. The lot is not at all conducive because there are too many trucks & equipment in the small space allotted. The lot is not at all well lit at night. 2. The requirements to check out & checkin equipment takes upwards of 45 minutes each. I was not informed of the $20 after hour return fee at the time of booking. Next time I need a UHAUL rental, I will drive 3 miles further so I don’t have to do all of the additional work required at this “self-serve” rental location. I believe this concept is making the customer do all of the work for the owner of the franchise and NOTHING IS DISCOUNTED! I hated the experience.
