The location empkoyee informed me he had5 26ft trucks available when I was told none available by online rep. So I had to add 1 whole day to my bill. The online rep had me picking truck up 3hrs away in wilmington i live in Raleigh. Employee at this location said uhaul hired a bunch of summer help. I put in complaint for 1 day of bill reimbursed. However location experience 5 star!

The morning of--right when we were supposed to pick the truck up--they called and said that they didn't have the truck and asked if we could do a smaller truck. The person who called was rude to my husband when he showed up there in person and not very communicative or nice to me on the phone, but the other person who helped him was great to work with and worked it out for him. Next time I would appreciate either advanced warning that the truck is not going to be there (maybe at least the night before?) or some sort of better communication. What is the point of reserving a truck if it is a 50-50 chance that they will not have it there anyway?

The experience ended up being awful for me for the following reasons: 1. The pickup time was supposed to be 9am but the site didn't open "until" 9am, so really it was more like 9:15 before the staff was ready to go. Why allow a pickup time earlier than the staff would reasonably be ready when their shift starts? Wastes everyones time. 2. The pickup process was supposed to be fast because i checked in online (your website told me that specifically). Instead, i did not leave the Uhaul site with my vehicle until after 10am. A full hour after the pickup time. The staff was clearly not ready for me and they asked me to repeat information that was already presented at checkin the night prior online, and it seemed like your computer systems were really slow (or the person behind the desk was new?) I was standing in line and then in front of the desk for like 20 minutes for a pickup i had scheduled a week prior. I then had to find my order number because your system didn't pull it up. Finally i got out the door to be given my truck around 9:30am (keep in mind i was told pickup was at 9am and i was there at 8:50). 3. I rented a motorcycle trailer along with a truck. The trailer was NOT ready to go when i arrived (it literally just needs to be dragged over and attached to the truck but somehow that took your staff another 15 minutes). Neither was the hand truck i rented. That also needed to be dragged over. Whats the point of renting ahead of time and checking in the night before if nothing is ready when i get there at the pickup time? Your associate slowly moved both items i had rented prior over to the van.... and then left them there. He did not put the handtruck inside the moving van in its holder. He left it unsecured inside the motorcycle trailer. He started to walk away so i asked "I think we need to secure the handtruck, right?" He replied "yeah i'm not done yet! I'll be right back!" angrily and rudely to me and then disappeared. And he did not come back. After 20 minutes (literally... 20 minutes i sat in the sun and waited for him) I had to go INTO THE STORE to find the dude and ask him if i could leave or if he needed me to do something else. Since he left the handtruck INSIDE THE TRAILER, UNSECURED and left the walkie talkie on the back of the truck, OBVIOUSLY he intended to come back. When i asked him "hey can i take the truck?... are you all done?..." he says "hahahaha yeah [something that was mocking me to his coworker that i now forget] of course you can leave?..." I then went back outside, removed the handtruck from the trailer, attached it properly inside the moving van, brought his walkie talkie back inside (he didn't thank me) and left. After 10am. 4. Your trailers dont come with the necessary straps to tie anything down. This would have been fine except when i asked what straps were necessary to tie a bike down to a bike trailer your associate told me the wrong strap. And not only was it the wrong strap, it was only 1 (t

The trailer was about as clean and well maintained as it could be for its age. Probably should have been retired a few years ago. Seemed to tow harder than it should have for its size.

I dropped the trailer I rented off on Saturday, June 3rd and this place was extremely busy.. Pulled into the return lane and one of the CR's inside told me to just unhook the trailer and that it would be checked in and taken care of (Order#26792118)... I had to stop back on Sunday because I did not receive any confirmation that the trailer had been checked in.. it was sitting in the lot and the Customer Rep(CR) went out and scanned it in and confirmed that everything was fine ... should have been done when they move the trailer on Saturday and saved me a trip back out to the return center... :-(

When I tried to purchase an item off the shelf the associate was unable to locate one in the computer system, actually told me they show a zero inventory for that item. This caused the manager to have to come in and checke out. A few minutes later he told me the system showed proper inventory and apologized for the inconvenience.
