Every time I use UHaul, there is some kind of drama.This time the truck I needed was not available in the town where I live so I had to drive out of my way to pick up the truck I needed. I was ok with that. Then I was called by the Regional Manager and asked to return the truck back to the same location, even though I had scheduled an out-of-town move. This meant that after an entire day of moving over an hour away, I had to find a way to get the truck back to the pickup location. I was able to get that accomplished and was hoping for some kind of compensation from U-Haul for doing this "favor," but instead, I was charged $40 for fuel and charged full price for everything. I will hire a pack of camels before I ever rent from U-Haul again.
Marci JTerrible service. Supposed to be open at 8am on Monday but nobody there. Finally about 8:20 a person shows up who was a cab driver for MC Cabs but he said he has nothing to do with Uhaul. Contacted Uhaul district manager. Finally owner of Curtis Transportation shows up and he's totally worthless. He doesn't know who was supposed to be working or why they weren't there.
Roger PThe help to address losing the car into the Dollie was incredibly laxed and I had to seek help outside of the U-Haul employee. The cab was filthy and needed to be cleaned at time of pick up, the motor was extremely loud and I received a call from the drop off location stating that the Cadillac converter was missing when they asked me if there was a loudness the entirety of my use of the vehicle. I reported yes.
ANNA TMy reservation was made over the phone with a U-Haul representative because I was unable to make a booking on the U-Haul website. I tried multiple times several days in a row to book online. Eventually called and made my booking. I booked a 4:30 pm pick up for a date in the future. Was emailed a confirmation of my 4:30 pm reservation time. Arrived to pick up the moving truck later than expected and the doors were locked, phone number to call went to voicemail. Received a text message from U-Haul at 5:48 pm confirming my 6 pm rental time. Had to use a lock box to get the keys but that was not communicated ahead of time in email, text or phone call. Was very frustrating as other people were waiting for us to arrive with the moving truck.
