I booked at a location with a guaranteed reservation and then I showed up and there was no one there. The door was locked and I sat in the parking lot changed my reservation even though my first reservation was guaranteed. Then the second location told me I was good to go with my dolly and I go to take the requested pics from U-Haul and the tire straps were not secured and laying on the ground so I had to secure them to the trailer before I left before I was the responsible person for damaging them. Luckily I have enough knowledge of how straps work to catch that. The whole process with the U-Haul company was unfortunate considering I had to go to multiple locations when the first was closed and then the second location tried to set me up for damage to the trailer after I was told I was good to go. I would like my $50 back for the “guaranteed reservation or we will give tou $50 back”

Price was good, trailer was good, staff were nice. The overall building was poorly maintained and looked like it was about to be torn down.

James LEvery time I use UHaul, there is some kind of drama.This time the truck I needed was not available in the town where I live so I had to drive out of my way to pick up the truck I needed. I was ok with that. Then I was called by the Regional Manager and asked to return the truck back to the same location, even though I had scheduled an out-of-town move. This meant that after an entire day of moving over an hour away, I had to find a way to get the truck back to the pickup location. I was able to get that accomplished and was hoping for some kind of compensation from U-Haul for doing this "favor," but instead, I was charged $40 for fuel and charged full price for everything. I will hire a pack of camels before I ever rent from U-Haul again.
