I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent U-Haul rental experience. I completed my reservation and payment online and arrived at the location expecting a smooth pickup process. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. When I informed the staff member that I had completed an online reservation, he questioned why he should give me the keys and immediately started asking for a deposit. I explained that I had already paid online, but he did not believe me. Instead, he stated that anyone could come in and claim they had paid online in order to get the keys. I found this response disrespectful and inappropriate. Rather than verifying my reservation through the system, I was made to wait for over an hour while the employee struggled to use the computer system and was unable to process my reservation properly. In addition, the staff member was rude, unhelpful, and spoke to me in an abusive manner, which made the entire experience stressful and unpleasant. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, especially when I have a confirmed reservation and payment. Experiences like this negatively affect U-Haul’s reputation and customer confidence in the brand. I encourage U-Haul to ensure that franchise locations are properly trained, knowledgeable about the reservation system, and capable of providing professional customer service. I would appreciate it if this matter could be reviewed and addressed so that other customers do not have to experience similar treatment. Thank you for your attention to this complaint.
Parambir GThe van smelled like they had transported animals and manure in the unit. Was told it was $.99 per km for the rental and then it was $1.19/km. This location has no concept of what they are doing and could not even print the contract for me to have a copy in the van as my husband did not have his phone with him. Was unable to complete the contract as I’m sure the never advanced it to Uhaul. Will never rent at this fly by night, money laundering location again!
Shantell MPick up was fine, but Uhaul was horrible in that they did not have available what we had booked and let us know only 24 hours before.
Zachary WThis are very unprofessional people. I took the truck at 3:30pm. At around 3:48pm I returned the truck because the guy where I supposed to pick up the furniture called me to cancel. The guy was accusing me that I have to pay additional money because I took the truck since yesterday while I did not stay with the truck even 20 minutes. He made me wait for almost an hour talking on the phone, to finally realize that the error was on his side. So desapontes.
