The business itself was amazing. I was set to pick up at 7am, before the business was open. We tried the online steps to pick up but it wouldn’t give us a code since there was an issue with the truck saying it was an in person pick up. So we couldn’t have our movers start on time we had a final walk through on our new home almost 2 hours away. So no work could be done until we got back 4 hours later. The business owner was amazing. She called me and they got the keys ready for us so we could grab and go. So we were able to finally start moving 4 hours later so our help couldn’t stick around so we did what we could. The next morning we drove it 2 hours away to unload. The truck started sounding funny and braking weird. Not bad ti where we were worried but on our 2 hour way back about an hour it the rpm’s were jumping up when we would stop and it was really loud and the wrench light came in. I called roadside and our connection was really bad so they told me to call when I got home or in a better location. I called when we got home and they sent a technician out and he said the transmission through lots of different codes and it also had a leak so the fluid was low so he said I can just add more fluid and it should be fine. On our second trip down to our new home the truck was completely acting horrible and luckily, we were able to make it to the drop off because it was eight minutes away from the house. And we were just shy of a half a tank not quite the options they gave made it look like it was in between a quarter and a half. But it was literally a tiny bit blow half but anyways they charged me like $48 because it wasn’t right at a half. If I put the gas in it, it might’ve been five bucks so I got cheated out of that. But I would’ve been scared to drive the truck to a gas station to fill it up that couple more dollars to get it into a half. We did say this truck was not good to be rented out to anyone else, but I don’t know if you guys will actually listen to that. That truck was horrible experience for us and with all the issues and the four hours late getting the truck just put a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t think I should’ve been charged the full amount. Also the first time I contacted U-Haul about not being able to get the vehicle. She mentioned something about giving me a $50 credit but I’m pretty sure I did not get that. I do believe I’m entitled to some type of a Discount. If somebody could get back in touch with me that would be great.
