The Moving help that we paid for through U-Haul was beyond awful. They were running late. A guy named Dante called me to let me know that. I asked him for an ETA because we were picking up furniture we bought from people we just met. We did not want to hold them up on a holiday weekend. Dante called back gave me an ETA. He did not tell me he was switching the movers that he was originally was going to send. I booked for three hours for two individuals. At first, we were just purchasing a sectional but then added an entertainment center. Well within my three hour window because those were the only pieces of furniture or anything that this moving company was being asked to move at a total of $387. For a three piece sectional and an entertainment center. Instead, Dante with the moving company sent "two high school football individuals". This is what my friend had said when she saw them arrive. She also said had two of us not just had shoulder surgery, we probably could've done it ourselves. To say that they struggled bringing the entertainment center down one flight of stairs is a very big understatement. It was so bad that I called Dante and said to him I thought you were sending a couple strong people to do this job. He indicated he was, but since we needed them at the time that Dante himself gave me when he called to book the time for the movers, to tell me his movers were running late. Dante said he thought it was only going to be for a sectional. Understand here that he was happy for me to be charged $387 for just a sectional. I had three hours. I was well within my rights to add the entertainment center which Dante knew about before these guys even showed up. So there's the damage to the entertainment center. Which by the way is from the company, ARHAUS. Had we had more time, I would've used Two Men And A Truck, who I believe are out of Farmington Hills or Livonia. They helped to move two entire houses for me a couple months ago, which went faster per item moved by far. Three guys and no damage. Great guys as well. Then Dante asked if I wanted more Moving help to unload the truck. I said yes. What I didn't know was he was playing me against the two young high school looking guys. He called them, of course, and asked if they were going to be able to handle moving the entertainment center, which then upset the blonde guy who said are you sure you want us to unload this and then had a big attitude. Had I had anybody else to help me, I would've told him no and let them have the $387 plus we gave them tips because I believe that this was all the person(Dante's) who sent them's fault, the blonde guy I hope I never see him again, was a smart azz. The other guy was great. Very nice, very kind, and well mannered. Anyway had I'd had anybody else to unload this truck, I would've sent them away. They struggled, bringing the entertainment center inside the house. I had to take the main door off the house myself in order to help them get it in. My friends and I had to babysit and help while we were trying to get this sectional and Entertainment center in the house. *I did call Dante while at the house where we purchased the items. Once Dante heard that they had almost dropped the entertainment center. In fact the doors opened and slammed into the ground, offered to help me not pay him and to just pay the two guys. I'm not an idiot. There's something called liability insurance and I knew right then and there if these two guys got themselves hurt I was going to be on the hook for it plus, I'm hoping that U-Haul does the right thing and reaches out and gives me some form of Customerservice recovery-due to the damage to the Entertainment center and BS we were out through. I'm unable to leave a review for the moving company as the link does not allow me to. However to add insult to injury, Dante was happy to call me and tell me that I was paranoid for no good reason. I told him I wasn't paranoid that I watched them bounce the entertainment center off the ground. He told me to keep his number in case I wanted to use them again. Totally laughable as there is no way in heck I will ever use them again. I'll go back to two men in a truck. The only reason I didn't use them was because I had less than 24 hours to get movers.

Didn’t speak with anyone there, dropped off after hours and was easy to do
Suzanne SThe young lady was polite and very efficient
JERALD MTruck was well maintained and staff were very friendly.
MICHAEL PThe only thing that held me back from giving the highest rating is the poor quality of wifi network connection. After trying unsuccessfully for 30 minutes to complete the online pickup, I had to revert to in-person checkout. In today's day & age, this shouldn't happen, especially when the vendor is promoting quick online signout! ( I was using a fully charged current 5G phone)
