Any sort of communication from the return site would have been helpful. I had to call the U-Haul national center to check and see if the owner of the drop-off site had taken care of the return paperwork. I texted photos of the trailer and my name and contract number to the drop-off site phone number but never got a response. I used the number that was provided on the contract paperwork. The U-Haul nationwide contact person had to get involved and send out someone to see if it had been returned and file the proper RETURN paperwork. The rental customer shouldn't have to call UHAUL and make sure the paperwork is completed and the trailer was recorded as returned. Not everyone can download the app to "self-check out" so other means need to be accomodated for. It's a real EZ place to return equipment to but communication and follow-up was totally lacking.
