I reserved online. My problems are partly due to the location mixing the truck I was renting with another truck. It took 45 minutes to get the truck checked out when we got there. Customer service was not conscious of my time. I will think twice about renting from uhaul in the future.


Travis and his staff are phenomenal! Everything was spot on. Travis had my truck ready and waiting. The truck was clean and Travis and his staff all very professional and informative. your overall customer logistics service is terrible. I never received a confirmation on where to pick up the trailer. I had to cancel the containers and go to PODs because no one knew who was to deliver them. I had to drive to 3 different locations to drop off the trailer because the site wouldn't take the trailer. some of your site people are jerks who could care less about the fact that I'm in the middle of a move and my life is completely upside down. You guys are terrible as an organization.

I reserved an appliance dolly through the online reservations process. The morning I show up to get the truck and dolly, I was told there is not a dolly available. I was told this (equipment not available) is what happens with a reservation is made at the last minute. I was not called or emailed to let me know it is not available. I was told that a search was done with nearby locations and none could be found. As I appreciate that, I would have made other arrangements since that dolly is what I needed. I was given an utility dolly for no charge but I could not use it. I will not be using this location again. Either the website scheduling tool needs to be changed or stores need to call customers to let them know the equipment they reserved is not available.

Clean interior before renting, and possibly post a No Smoking sign inside truck. The Change Oil indicator light was on.

They didn't reserve the equipment I booked and have me a disgusting truck. The trucks back door barely worked and I had to throughly clean out the back before I could use it. The cab was even filthier as drinks and cigarette ash covered the floor. The smell was terrible and my kids couldn't ride in it because it smelled so bad. I called U-Haul 800 number but they told me they couldn't do anything to help. This was a terrible experience that will most likely cause me to never use or recommend U-Haul again!!!


Your customer service is terrible. I reserved a truck through your website at the location it suggested based on my zip code only to arrive and find out the location has been closed for 3 weeks. I then sat on hold with your customer service for 45 minutes before someone answered the call, I told her the issue and then she put me on hold and never came back on the line. Then when i had an issue with the return link I sat on hold for another 35 minutes before I ever got to talk to someone about my time sensitive issue. I am very dissatisfied with your service and I will not be renting from you again

The Outback Storage location was excellent and I did not have any issues with them at all. However, I would not use Uhaul again. The lady that assisted me at 3804 Buford Drive, Buford, GA 30519 did not pay attention to what I was asking for and incorrectly set me up for a local rental instead of one way. While I was at that location, there was a separate employee on the phone with another customer. He was rude to that customer and that customer eventually hung up the phone on him because he was rude. Once he hung up the phone, he made the comment “I guess she didn't like my customer service” and chuckled. This was definitely not the kind of professionalism that should be displayed by an employee especially in front of other customers. I spoke to a lady named Audrey in Traffic who told me a truck was waiting for me at Your Extra Attic Storage, 130 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Sugar Hill, GA 30518. I arrived at that location and was told that there was not a truck available and they did not know why I was sent to that location. I was sent to Outback Storage and had not issues.

U-Haul needs to upgrade their computer system. Yes I finally got a truck at this location but this was the third location and it wasn't until 1:30 p.m. when I was supposed to get my truck at 10 a.m.. the original place at 10 a.m. the truck wasn't back then they said they would call me when it came back in, I called them back at 12 they said it would be ready by what I get there 5 minutes to 1 she said their system was down in Buford Georgia and that they cancelled my truck and gave it away to someone else. I told her I had already paid for movers at 10:30 that morning. I asked the movers if they could do something else for a few hours so they did another job. They were sitting at my old house ready to work at 1:15 I didn't get the truck till 2. So I didn't have enough time to move all my stuff so I had to pay for an additional hour for the movers because of the truck. This was a nightmare day.
