The service was very unprofessional and the location did not feel safe. I originally booked a different location, but my reservation was changed to this location due to equipment shortages( that were false as I passed a U-Haul location on my way to this one that had multiple trucks that were the same size as the one I reserved). The pickup process was repeated multiple times online and in the app with no success until the vendor called the U-Haul telephone and found out they had never checked back in the truck after the previous driver dropped it off the day before. This led what should be a 5 minute process turn into a 30 minute ordeal that impacted my ability to arrive on time to an equipment pickup in Richardson. When my reservation was changed, I was promised a reduced truck charge of $20 and a reduced mileage rate of below a dollar, however, that did not appear on my bill. The vendor added an insurance charge to my bill that I had rejected in my reservation, but I could not take the time to refute it since his lack of understanding the basics of how a U-Haul company works already had me very late. When I brought the truck back, the vendor had me scan a QR code to check out. That QR code led me to a checkout screen that was not for the customer side and led me through various menu boxes that the U-Haul vendor was supposed to fill out. It eventually asked me for my U-Haul franchise PIN number. This location needs to be shut down as the operator does not know how to operate the basic premise of the business and seemed very confused on the basic steps of renting a truck. I would like a discount after dealing with this nonsense. This whole process was ridiculous.
