When you say you have a truck it should be there and I shouldn't have travei a hour and a half just to get a truck on that day. It cost us getting money back because I couldn't get the trailer I was supposed to get in Moncton to drop off in Toronto. The truck cost me almost the same for gad as it did to rent it

My return process was convoluted and did not get solved when I returned the vehicle. I brought the vehicle back the same day it was picked up on, however, for whatever reason, the employee could not process the return that day. As my 24 hour period was up at 11am the next day, I called at 9:30 that morning to confirm the return of the vehicle. The person who answered the phone, who I believe to be the owner, Pat, initially would not give me his name stating "does it matter what my name is?". I broke the tension by responding, no, I suppose it doesn't, I just wanted to know if I was dealing with Nick, as I was the previous day. I explained to him the confusing return and how I did not have my returned vehicle email yet, and he said "well the longer you keep talking to me about this, the longer its going to take for you to get it, isn't it." Pat did give me his name at the end of the call when I asked again so I knew who I'd spoken with. Furthermore, this U-Haul location has signs on the wall that say if you do not sweep out the vehicle upon return, a $25 fee will be charged to the customer. During the pre-trip inspection of the vehicle, I noticed the vehicle had not been swept as there was still some debris from a previous customer. This tells me this location is either not verifying equipment is returned in an acceptable state, or they are charging a $25 fee and not sweeping the equipment themselves as a result. I would not recommend this location to anyone, as the owner is rude, unwilling to be helpful to customers, and creates confusion unnecessarily. Due to his actions, I will never return to this location.
Will GFantastic service provided. Highly recommended
DALE AI made a reservation for a trailer and wasn’t supposed to have it till 12pm the next day but upon picking up I was informed it was rented to someone else for 8 am the next morning and it needed to be back for them so we ended up drive hundreds of kilometres going and coming back in the night, that was as the only issue I had cause they confirmed my booking and then double booked the trailer, for the sake of not ruining my long weekend I didn’t argue but next time I will make sure to call and double check that I will have it for the time I want
JEFFREY CThis was my first experience with U-Haul, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. I had reserved a 15-foot truck in Moncton for August 31st well in advance, but the reservation was abruptly cancelled. I was then told to pick up a truck in Fredericton instead. Understanding that it was a busy time of year, I agreed and drove to Fredericton. However, upon arrival, the pickup was cancelled again, and I was redirected to Saint John to take the truck. I requested the owner if there's anything else he could for us as we didn't want to drive to Saint John now. This situation was incredibly frustrating—like other customers, we had our own plans, and no compensation was offered for the fuel costs incurred during the multiple long drives, which weren’t caused by any mistake on our part. Despite all the hassle, the rental fee remained about the same, and I was even asked to return the truck to Fredericton, which made no sense. I ended up paying for gas for both my personal vehicle from Moncton to Fredericton and the rental truck back and forth between Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton. After unloading our belongings in Saint John, I had to drive the truck back to Fredericton with a full tank just to return it which was not the initial plan as it was supposed to be a one way trip—adding more unnecessary cost and inconvenience. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the owner of Fredericton location for his support and assistance during a really challenging situation. His willingness to step in and help us out made all the difference, and we truly appreciate his patience, flexibility, and understanding.
