The new system where you can reserve a uhaula Nd pick up as early at 5 am is truly amazing makes a move go way smoother. I ordered a truck, dolly, one dozen blankets and 3 wardrobe boxes online from U-Haul and I picked a specific location to pick up the truck and equipment. The day before I was to pick up the truck, they contacted me to inform me that I would have to go to a different location to get the truck and equipment. When I arrived, they told me my truck was the one closest to a wrought iron gate and there were 3 other trucks parked on the other side of my truck. I asked if they would pull it out for me. I asked if the equipment I ordered was in the truck and it wasn't. The porter tried to give me a broken dolly and I insisted on a non defective dolly. There were two bags of blankets by the door outside on the ground and he informed me that those were mine (one of the bags had a scrap of a blanket in it that I didn't see until I opened the bag to wrap my furniture with (I took a picture of it if you want to see it for yourself) When I asked about the wardrobe boxes, they told me I would have to go to a U-Haul center to pick those up. I asked the girl behind the counter if she was serious and she said she was. I told her that that was one of the most stupid things I have ever heard of. I ordered one dozen blankets, which I received defective blankets instead, one dolly, which they tried to give me a broken one, and three wardrobe boxes, which they told me I had to go somewhere else to pick them up!!! When I ordered the truck, I ordered the boxes, dolly and blankets at that time and U-Haul was very efficient in charging me for the extra equipment at that time. The porter didn't want to do the walk around inspection until I insisted. When we did, he put about 15 of those x stickers on the truck (probably because he didn't want to write it up) where I noticed damage and when I pointed to the dents in the roof, he said not to worry about that because it's hardly on their radar to look at the roof. Again, I insisted that he document it, and he said he wouldn't know where to document it...I told him to notate it where it says to describe damage on the contract!!! I then asked him if we should check the lights and turn signals...he turned on the lights and the clearance lights worked and the brake lights worked but when I asked to see the turn signals work, he said that I would have to start the ignition. I said ok, start the ignition and he claimed to have given me the keys. I informed him that he hadn't done that and he insisted that he had. We walked into the office to see if they were there and as soon as we walked through the doors, he found the keys in his pocket!!! When we checked the turn signals, the right front signal wasn't working, and when I pointed this out to the porter, he slapped it and it started working. Of all the times I have rented from U-Haul, everyone has been professional and courteous...except this location...the porter who works the yard didn't want to do anything and kept giving me a annoyed look because I kept asking

The manager who we dealt with was absolutely horrible. She was rude and standoffish the minute we walked in. Despite that unpleasant experience, when we get to the other UHaul to drop off our truck we find out that it was an "In-Town" trip and we would have to pay 3x more money to have it dropped off there. After calling the manager we were simply told "Sorry, I forgot to tell you" . I never want to use UHaul again and I will let all of my family and friends know what a terrible location and experience I had with this women. If she hates her job so much and can't even do it correctly she should be fire honestly. Please consider a more efficient and pleasant person.

I did not like that the truck had only 1/4 tank of gas . So I had to stop and fill it before o coild get on the road. I then ended up bringing it back with over half a tank. It would have been fair to have it full and return full

I set up self service, but when I got there I still had to go into the office. My reservation was under someone else's name. I made the reservation two weeks prior to going and received multiple emails stating my self service for pick would be ready. The worker in the office had no record of my reservation. The self service was a total waste of my time and I'm very disappointed.
