The brakes on the van were not working properly. When I applied the brakes the whole truck shuddered. This happened at highway and back road speeds.

the lights were difficult to figure out how to turn off. Almost had to leave it after hours with lights still on. Would have liked to know that it was not a simple turn off and have instructions handy.

I reserved a 20' truck on a Thursday for Saturday. When I went to go pick up the truck, they couldn't find the key to the truck. Had to rent a 15' truck, resulting making two trips to move instead of one, costing me more money in mileage.

The truck was covered in snow although I had reserved it several hours before pick up. There was not even a snow brush in it. A co worker dropped it off, and before doing so he put $15 of gas in it. We only went 28 miles. The tank was less than 1/4 , prob closer to 1/8, when we started and we filled it to that amount . I was then billed another $60 for gas . Totally unacceptable!

U-Haul is still the easiest and cheapest way to rent a moving truck. That being said, having a handtruck in every van at no extra charge sure would be nice. I have rented from U-Haul many times before, and several times have found a handtruck in the back, not locked up, and it sure does come in handy. Just my 2 cents.
