This was the ABSOLUTE WORST experience we have ever had. We specifically requested a pickup in Greenwood so we didn’t have to waste mileage. The night before, we got an email telling us to pick the truck up in Calhoun Falls which, by the way, is an hour and fifteen minutes from our home in Simpsonville when our original pickup location in Greenwood was only 50 minutes away. My husband drives all the way to Calhoun Falls and is unable to get the truck as it was behind locked fencing. He called for help and was sent to Greenwood (again, the original location), so he had to drive another 45 minutes to Greenwood which was way out of his way. He gets there, and they don’t have a truck for him even though there’s over 10 parked in the lot. That location sent him to the final location across town in Greenwood. There, the guy ended up giving him a bigger truck and more mileage and supposedly a $50 discount. My husband finally gets to the storage building in Greenwood about 2 hours late and notices that the roll up door on the truck has a lock on it. There was no key to open it. He calls again and speaks to Simone. She said it would take 60 to 90 minutes to have someone come out there and cut the lock or we could cut it ourselves (like we really carry around lock cutters on the daily or something that would cut a lock!🤦♀️) I spoke with Simone explaining to her all of the above information and that we were requesting a full refund, because this had wasted so much time that we absolutely needed. She said ok and was going to work on the refund and contact her manager. Again, I stated that we were to receive a full refund. We waited over an hour and someone finally came and unlocked it with a key! So, by that time, over 3 hours was wasted and it ended up costing us to have to leave one of the buildings not emptied and having to pay for another month’s rent on that building. Our personal gas in our vehicle and our time was wasted just for us to end up getting a truck in the same dang town we requested to pick one up from. We are currently waiting to see if that full refund was given. If not, we will be disputing the charges and will receive our money back. This whole situation was uncalled for and the reserving and turning in process is a ridiculous and aggravating process. Do BETTER!!
