The people in Harlingen, Tx. Could not of been more helpful. I rented 3 U-Haul trucks from the Harlingen location, a 20ft. and a 26ft for local use (one day rental). Then on Sept. 11 I rented 26ft. Truck & and a 12ft. Trailer to move from Harlingen, Texas to Naples, Florida.. PLEASE READ MY COMMENTS ON THE DROP OFF LOCATION.

Great folks that work there. I was originally told that the 15’ U-Haul wouldn’t be available until 3 pm, but I asked them to call me if it was available sooner. Sure enough, they called me at 10 am saying it was ready to go! Super service.



It took me almost 2 hours standing in line waiting to pick up my unit. There were 4 people ahead of me and 2 behind me, all were very irritated. And then I check in 1 day early (I reserved for 3 days) and I was billed the 3rd day.., I checked out the unit at 12ish noon on Sunday and returned it at about 12:45 on Tuesday and the guy insisted on charging me the 3rd day. I said Ok and swore I’d never go back to UHaul. And then Juan called me from the location I originally called to rent the unit to tell me he had amended the bill to cover 2 days and apologized. I thanked him. I’m very disappointed on the Ed Carey Drive location. Won’t go there again. But I will do business with Juan.

When renting a vehicle for drop off at another location the customer should not be forced to have to pay for an extra day if it is not needed. The customer should be only charged for the mileage actually driven.

Discussing customer service with your employees. I immediately felt like I pissed off the employee at the Alta Mesa location as soon as I walked through the door, literally. Also, improving communication in regards to drop off policies would’ve helped save some frustration. I argued with the first dropoff location I called because he said he didn’t have a scheduled dropoff (I understood for an out of town move we could drop off at any location) I scheduled a dropoff at a different location where that employee told me he was leaving 30 minutes prior to closing, he insisted I go to a closer location. Finally just went to the third location

Friendler staff !! I did business with the manger down to sales rep and no one is friendly, moving is stressful already and having to deal with a business full of unhappy employees. I felt like my business was a inconvenience. There was a time i walked in and the manger didnt even help or say a word to me and i had to wait for the sale rep to tell me he will be right with me, two other people walked it and the manger just walked out leaving one rep to handle three rentals. My last rental the truck sang all the way - wind was whistling through a door or window or somewhere. I didnt say anything to the manger who checked me out because i felt he wouldnt care. His tag said owner, so i asked if he owed the business and he said no the company just gives us stock so we are all owners.
