Overall the customer service was great. Debbie and the employees were very nice and helpful. But the trailer I received later notice that it was a little beat up in certain areas that could be potentially dangerous. The wiring for my hitch must of been installed wrong because my right turn signal hazards and brake lights did not work properly for my trip. Causing me lots of trouble and money out of my pocket for loss of time. This situation overall was just unfortunate for me traveling such a far distance.

U-Haul installed my hitch, this was my second time renting a trailer from this location. Both of my break lights are not working as of my drop off time. The office was not helpful in offering to help me solve the issue.

We got there at our scheduled time and saw 3 employees, outside, there was one customer besides us, it took 2 of your employees to fix their wipers while we did inside waiting, I ended went outside and said excuse me, they both looked and not one of them came to help us but instead ignored us, we had people waiting on us to move, our pickup time was 10:00 and it took 30 min to help us with only one person ahead of us,

My Sunday reservation specialist (female) at state street Hemet location didn't get her name. Didn't have truck that was ordered on line. She Made another reservation at a location where I wasn't going to be able to get service since a 4th of July parade was blocking off that locations entry. I asked that she upgrade my service on that Sunday whereas, I only needed the truck for 4 hours or less. Rudely you just won't get a truck if you don't take location that we offer. Ended up with a upgrade due to her scheduling unavailable location. She needs to learn professionalism and flexibility. I purchased insurance with the contract on Monday which I know is important to there sales

Initially we were to pick up the trailer in Banning. They had 1 - covered in dirt & mud. The lights did not work and they told me for a charge I could have them check it, but the expert who did that was not there. Reluctantly it was checked and discovered the problem was with the trailer, NOT MY CAR. They gave us a credit (which we should get back in 10 days or so). THEN we went to Hemet. They also wanted to charge my card. I told them to check the trailer first. Guess What? It had defective lights as well. We would have been out over $600 had that happened had I not insisted on checking the trailer first. Pass Auto had assigned 10 blankets to us, but the store in Hemet told my wife we had to take 12. I did not know this as I was out trying to find a trailer with lights. When I returned the trailer in Rohnert Park, they did NOT count the blankets, he was busy and asked how many I was returning. I said 10. Then the desk told me I shorted them 2 blankets. I told them their yard man did NOT count them, he only asked me and to go back and count them. They guy at the desk "overlooked" the fact and let it go. NOT THE BEST OVERALL SITUATION. Our funds were tight before we left, and a whole lot tighter being the first trailer charge of $300 lighter. Just glad it wasn't $600, because our credit card would have been denied for lack of funds. THEN . . . No one bothered to tell us about the side lights on the fenders. When it got dark we could see them flashing. We initially thought that maybe it was indicating a problem with tail lights, signals, etc. (having gone through the afore mentioned electrical problems). NEITHER PLACE bothered to explain the trailer!

To stand in line for awhile, with a reservation was a little frustrating. My receipt also wasn't accessible via email upon closing out the contract. Otherwise, everything was fine.

My complaint is in how I was treated as a valued customer when I returned the rental. Apparently as I was driving the vehicle to return it, after I put gas in and washed the vehicle, I got a flat tire. The service technician was abrupt with me and rude. I was made to feel as if I got a flat tire on purpose. I was made to feel as though I had committed a crime. I do not understand why I was made to pay for the tire. I have vehicle insurance and waived the $10.00 insurance fee as I was allowed to do but as I understand even if I had of accepted the $10.00 fee I still would have had to pay for the tire. I was not told upon renting the vehicle that if the vehicle get's a flat while driving it that I will be held reponsible for buying a new tire. I was told the problem was on the inside, an area that is unseen. I do not believe the tire was in good shape when I rented the vehicle. In fact the cap was missing on the tire when the technician was showing me with his hand where the problem was. I am very disappointed to have been charged for the tire when I do not regard the vehicle getting a flat as my fault but as a road hazard. As to an improvement for future customers, they should be warned specifically that if while driving the vehicle and a flat tire should occur as a result of something being in the road that is not their fault, regardless of insurance or paying extra for your insurance, they will still be REQUIRED to pay for a completely new tire. I am very dissatisfied with your company and with how I was made to feel upon returning the vehicle. Previously when I needed to rent a vehicle I had always chosen U-Haul. That has now changed. Nor do I feel I can recommend your company any longer.

We had issues with the truck the third gear would stick and would not shift out of that gear going up hill. It would downshift like popping the clutch. The inside the truck would get really hot. When going uphill it gets hot inside and shoots black smoke out the back cuz the gear would not shift out of gears. Worst experience I had with uhaul and honestly would good somewhere else now.
