Customer service agent was more interested in a young lady that was picking up a truck then helping me. He was not very helpful since our location got switched and we where not notified. He didn’t even walk me out to the truck to look it over or show me how it work. Very bad customer service

Worst customer service I have ever received. Was told one thing on the phone and something completely different in the store. They couldnt even guide me to help by telling me the 1-800 number. We were stuck in the store for an hour on the phone trying to figure out the amount of miles I could drive the truck and the people there were absolutely no help. When I called the 1-800 number they told me I was lying and they would never give out that many unlimited miles even though that morning the lady from the customer service promised me that many miles. I then had to speak to the manager who had to go back and listen to the phone call conversation only to then give me the amount of miles I was promised. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Will never use Uhaul again.

The personnel was helpful once the guy decided to return from a “break” I waited around for over 10 minutes, after unloading a truck for 8 hours, for anyone to acknowledge me and then was told the guy who was to help me was on break...a little annoying.

The equipment was fine and my check out experience was equally as fine. The negative experience I had was checking-in. The younger man who helped me check-in was very unprofessional and not very informative. First, the entire time he was inputting our information when I was in office, he was also reading his personal text messages and pausing what he was doing with me, the customer, to read his messages and respond. I could tell he was more focused on his phone, prolonging the check-in period for us. Secondly, when he handed us the keys in the office he failed to show us the truck, the mechanisms, make sure all was in order for us. He literally gave us the keys, told us the wrong direction, and then proceeded to go outside and sit in his personal vehicle. While it may have been simple to him, driving a big Uhaul truck for the first time deserves some instructions and tips. I had to go back into the store multiple times asking for instructions that should have all been provided when we received the keys.

We had one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The person who checked us out, Jervis Penn, was rude and belligerent. Not a good representation of your company. Not only will I not be a returning U-haul customer, if I do not receive some type of communication from this email (or from the voicemail my husband left after our experience), I will also be leaving a negative review online.

In the several calls and visits to Uhaul this week, one thing stood out. YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH STAFF. The staff I worked with were professional, especially Ms. King at Parham store. However all the people I spoke to gave different information. The scheduling center said they would allow 6 hours for the move but neglected to change reservations. I knew I could not do the move in two hours and felt high anxiety as I knew some poor smuck like me was waiting for the truck to be returned. The man at the check in spot was very nice and personable. You have good people, give them some help.

I would not recommend U-haul overall. The entire experience was awful: 1.) The online (after hours) check-in process took 20-30 minutes and had far too many steps. 2.) I was charged for 2 days because I had the rental for more than 6 hours. 3. The door seal on the drive's side was coming apart, which was a nuisance. I'm afraid U-haul has lost my business forever. I had occasion to rent a Penske truck a few weeks later - by far a much better experience.

I returned my equipment before the 12 hour window was up and I was charged for 2 rental periods which doubled my bill. It shows you didn't check in my return until 25 hours after it was first rented even though I returned it exactly when I was supposed to (slightly earlier actually). I will never use Uhaul again - this is fraudulent to double a customer's bill like this. Plus your customer service is horrible... I have tried calling several times and I just wait on hold for 15-20 minutes before I finally give up. Uhaul = bait and switch.

My pick up location was wrong. I was supposed to pick up VCU location downtown Richmond. I also reserved furniture dolly and appliance dolly in which they didn’t have either available for me.

Ordered a 6’ x 12’ one week in advance. When I arrived for a cross-state move the largest they had was one 5x8 with the right rear blinker not working. Forced me to make multiple trips. There also didn’t seem to be enough staff and the staff that was present were on their phones the whole time.
