Vendor was not open at the scheduled pick up time. Arrived 10 minutes later than my schedule time . Equipment was stored in knee height grass field, difficult to walk around to examine.

Stephen FI had a very poor experience with this rental location. The truck was not clean when I picked it up. There was a soda bottle behind the seat and a water bottle in the passenger door. There was also an orange tie-down cord left in the back of the truck from a previous user. While driving to my destination, the truck started making a loud ticking noise, which concerned me. I contacted the pickup location, but the only response I received was to call U-Haul. I had already contacted U-Haul Roadside Assistance, and they told me someone would arrive within 90 minutes, but no one ever showed up. Later, I received a call explaining that the technician’s truck had broken down on the highway and another person would be sent, but they were over an hour away. Because I was moving items to a storage facility that closed at 8 PM, I could not continue waiting and had to proceed with using the truck despite the mechanical issue. After completing my move, I returned the truck and put gas back in it, even slightly more than what was in the truck when I received it. However, I was still charged an additional $20, which I do not understand because I have proof that I refueled the vehicle. Within the last few days (Friday through Tuesday), I have spent around $400 with U-Haul, yet the service I received at this location was extremely disappointing. The truck was not properly cleaned or inspected, roadside assistance never arrived as promised, and customer support from the location was unhelpful. I hope U-Haul will review this situation and address the issues so other customers do not experience the same problems.
