Make sure your employees are competent enough to manage their jobs. The guy that I returned the dolly to could barely be bothered to look up from his phone and apparently did not bother to do the paperwork.

The technician forgot to tighten the hitch after placing it on the ball. When I loaded my classic automobile on the auto transport, the trailer kicked up and disconnected from the truck and fell to the ground, and caused the hitch to ram into the back of the tail gate, then fall to the ground. Luckily, the garage had a tow motor that could lift the trailer back up and place back on the ball. All in all, a very scary situation due to simple negligence. Was reported to the Uhaul manager.

our charges were incorrect, putting us out almost $110. we returned it same day, after four hours of use per our reservation. The paperwork reflected that we returned it the next morning. When we contacted them on the 8th, we were told a refund was being sent our way. Instead, on the 10th, ANOTHER charge was pulled from our account, still with no pending refund charge per their confirmation. When contacting the location AGAIN, we were told that this second charge is the "actual" charge. So now, UHAUL has about $150 from us and we're -$30 in our account, causing our bank to charge us an overdraft fee of ANOTHER $40. SO THANK YOU FOR SCREWING US OVER AND CAUSING US TO BE SHORT $40 ontop of your "accidental" charge putting us out $110 to begin with.

Tell the 3 employees sitting behind the counter doing nothing to at least look like they want to help. The manager was on the phone and in person trying to pick up the slack. No one showed me how to open and close/latch the back of the truck. Or how to work the ramp. Or how to work the appliance Dolly straps. They didn't even bring the truck to me at the office. I had to go search through the lot to find it, then it wouldn't start. First time I ever rented a truck. Upsetting experience.

I have used this location several times in the past but it there is a different Management group now and apparently they need Training. The young man that helped hook up the trailer apparently was not versed on how to hook a trailer up and in fact Did Not Tighten the Hitch Nut so when we loaded the vehicle on the trailer it broke loose from my vehicle. When I returned they did not appear concerned and in fact I had to hunt down the wrench in their service area and Tighten The Hitch Myself. Won't be returning to that store again!!!!

Provide trucks that are in good/decent repair. The power steering was none existent, the bumper was hanging off, and it would stuck in a turn which was very hard to get out of, to name a few. Make sure there is some gas in the vehicle. 44

Very poor service, had to park and disconnect my trailer return. Employees would not even check the trailer in or get up out of their chairs, there were three of them just setting there. Will never go to this Uhaul location again.

Great experience.



The wait to be served was extra long. Dropping off the trailer was even longer. Getting to the trailer was a pain as they had boxes and equipment in the drive through area. The ball hitch even tightened down kept coming lose. It was not a tight fit to the ball and rattled around very noisily.

The truck battery was horrible. We had to jump it every single time we started the truck, and I believe that the location knew about the defect because they had it connected to a cord when we arrived. We called multiple times and even tried to chat about ANOTHEr issue and no one answered the phone. The utility dolly wasn't on the truck, and we had to go back and get it. Between the delays due to the battery, and the utility dolly we ended up going over our original promise time. We were told we would get a credit, and instead we were charged full price for 2 days! Horrible!

This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. I reserved a truck one way from Houston to Corpus Christi, and even got a call the day before from the location to confirm the reservation. I was assured the truck would be there and I informed them I would be there at the specific time. The next day I show up after driving through rain all day, and they tell me they don’t have a truck for me! I asked if I could call in a couple of hours to see if a truck shows up and they said sure. So I call two hours later, and they said they still have no truck. They informed me that I should call the main u haul number, so I did and they said I can drive across town and rent another one, but it is bigger and on the other side of Houston and it would cost me more. I asked him if they could comp the cost and he said no. I would have to talk to a scheduler. 30 min more lost standing in the rain! So I call the scheduler and they set me up with another reservation, about 15 miles away. We drive over there and find out that the location closes early on Saturday and was not open when we arrived! Now I call uhaul again and they set up a third reservation, another ways away driving through the rain. I called the third location to confirm they were open and had a truck there and they said yes. Truck is here and we have the reservation. We drive all the way over there, but when we get there they say oh no, we don’t have the truck. After over a half of an hour of arguing with them they finally found the truck with the keys still inside. The customer service all around was terrible at all locations. My brother in reserved a penske truck the same day at the same time, and the truck was available and ready at the time it was reserved. What a difference.



Set up the pick up at a different location where I could not pick the truck (Very inconvenient ) and I had to find a open location where I could reserve another truck. Pick up the truck and return it the next day and even filled the gas tank with extra fuel. Got changed another $55 (someone did not know how to read the level of the gas apparently); called the location and was told to wait while they go check the truck; was on hold for a long time. So I decided to drive back there; the lady there was very nice and provided a receipt showing the refund I will receive. Also too many requirement when you want to pick up an equipment, phone number, second phone number, take a photo of your driver license...........Overall; not so good experience with Uhaul this time.
