This review is not of the location but of Uhaul overall. I reserved my vehicle based on the availability on the app. The day before I got a call from Uhaul letting me know that my original location did not have my vehicle and they found me another location. That in and of it self is not a big deal. However, when I got to the location, I tried to use the app to access my vehicle. The app is gabarge. I put in my information including scanning my driver's license. After scanning my license and taking a picture of my self it kept asking for a contact to verify my contract. My options were to give them another contact to call, a contact at my job, or a copy of my lease. This rental had nothing to do with work or moving so there was no way to giving them a work contact or my lease. Those are both completely assinin request for day use of a vehicle. So my only option was to put in another contact. Since my wife was with me I put in her information but it kept saying her information was the same as the contract so I couldn't use that, which makes no sense so I tried her name with my phone number and got the same error. From there I decided to try to go in side to see if the person at the hotel desk could help me. I explained the situation to the clerk and she took my license. She then said "I don't have a truck for you" and that she couldn't give me the code to the 24/7 box, but she kept typing away on the keyboard without a follow up. I gave her another minute or two and then asked her if I needed to call Uhaul to resolve the situation. Eventually after 5 minutes of silence from her she was able to get me the code to the box to get my key. While ultimately the employee was able to help they weren't clear on what was going on after basically telling me they couldn't help. Once I got to the vehicle it was in very bad shape on the outside but mostly cosmetic so I took a video of the vehicle as I walked around to document all the pre-existing damage. Then I got into the cab which had not been cleaned out since the previous driver and there was still some trash inside. Lastly, the seal around the driver side door was busted so while the door closed it left a gap which made the cabin louder than normal (which normal is already very loud in a uhaul).
Aaron JI dropped off at this location. They did not check the vehicle. Couldn’t tell me when I would have my final receipt and I still haven’t received the final receipt after 24 hours.
UCHE OTruck was not in good shape they overcharged and didn't give the usual time a actual Uhaul store would we only had 6 hours to return when a usual uhaul gives more time at least until midnight the trucks breaks were going out and it was very outdated.
HEATHER NThe 3740 N High School Rd office hours were posted as 8 am, but no employee was present at 8 am when I arrived. I waited for 30-45 minutes and an employee never showed up. I called customer service and was told the staff was likely showing up later that day, and I could rent the truck through a smartphone. No one told me any of this ahead of time. Actually, I was contacted by U-Haul and my rental location reservation was changed to this location a day or 2 prior to my rental. I went through all the smartphone steps, which were tedious. It would have been much faster had an actual employee been present. The truck was parked in a location close to another truck that would not allow me to get an adequate driver side view picture for the smartphone rental process. The truck was essentially new which was one positive. However, There was some sort of oily liquid in the truck cargo floor area that I had to clean up myself before loading my items. Overall, the process delayed me about 1 hour. I was paying movers, and they had already showed up at my house, while I was still dealing with the lengthy inefficient truck rental. Very frustrating process. The truck itself functioned great for my move once I cleaned up the cargo area.
