Very little equipment there

For the novice truck driver, it would be good to provide "wider turns" needed for approaching gas pumps at filling stations. That could eliminate the cave-ins I saw on the truck I drove. My prior experience with driving over-the-road trucks had me equipped to avoid any mishaps that previous drivers had made.

1. Have some gas in truck I got in and the screen read 30 miles to E. 2. Truck was filthy inside and out 3. Truck had trouble getting through mountains. 4. They weren't ready with my supplies even though I ordered 3 weeks prior. That truck never should have been let go for a cross country trip. They did have a newer one there all hooked up to the same trailer.

Location was fine, but GPS location was wrong --- about a block off in a random neighborhood. Location is also a car dealership. Not clear where trucks should be dropped off. (After going inside they had me park it on the street, in case you are dropping off.)

The online check in took 30 minutes to be approved to get the truck. That caused me to be late and counted against my overall time with the vehicle. I will never use uhaul again. After reserving my truck in the city i was moving in, i got a call saying the size truck i wanted was not there and that i had to rent one from 20 miles away, i asked if i would be charged more mileage since it was farther than I originally reserved. I was told no since the original location didn't have my truck. That was a lie after I finally got checked in after waitng 30 minutes to be approved i had increase the mileage i was driving since it was almost 40 mile round trip and i was charged more!

2 things: 1. I had a reservation, but when I presented my reservation #, the attendant told me he doesn't see me in his system, so he was going to treat me like a walk in--so instead of giving me the price on my reservation, $18.95, he charged me more, included Safe Tow Coverage without my knowledge; 2. When I returned the trailer, he charged me for 2 days; my reservation is for 24 hours. I picked up the trailer at 4:25 pm on 7/3/20, and returned it at 4:55 pm on 7/4/20. When I returned the trailer, unhooked it myself and went inside to tell him, he just said he'll check me in later, which he did at 5:20 pm--and charge me for 2 days. When i was on my way, I hit traffic, so I called him at around 4:15 pm and said I will be able 30 min late, he said "I'll see you when you get here". My final bill was $69.45. Ridiculous!

I did a way one but they didn't tell me which Inver grove height to drop off, I wasted 30 minutes for nothing. I am not happy with that part.

The trailer had wood chips in it. THat wasn't a big deal for me but could be annoying to others. I am bothered by the fact that the uhaul rep didn't ask if i wanted insurance or not and the rate was higher than what was listed online. I would have paid it but a little bit of communication goes a LONG way. I would recommend but 'warn' a friend to do the proactive communication

We rented a car trailer from Inver grove heights mn and the straps were broke it was sent with a flat tire needless to say we got another flat tire on our way to Missouri a complete night mare the trailer should have never left the lot I mean broken straps that holds the car down we had to purchase our own then two flat tires put a real damper on our vacation needless to say they charged us 600.00 for one day


Tom was very unfriendly. A jerk to my wife, my mother and myself. He had a poor, rude attitude right from the start.

This location is on the same site as a car dealership. There was only one person who worked with the uhaul portion of the business. When we arrived he was trying to sell a car at the same time. While he was courteous and was never rude, it was very apparent that the main focus was. Which is what I would expect when comparing the profit of selling a car to a trailer return. While we were parking the trailer, he left on a test drive of the car, without any further instructions for the return. At this point I went to my return instructions and we completed the return online through a cell phone. So he didn't do anything wrong or bad exactly, it just is a challenge to do a return with someone who clearly doesn't prioritize this part of the business. If not for being able to do the return online, we would have been very frustrated. There was another person at the location who could be trained on uhaul returns and that would have made all the difference.

I had an additional charge of $40 for some type of coverage on my rental that I was not made aware of prior to or during my rental. I only saw it when I got the final bill after I had returned my rental. I made my reservation online and I know I declined any type of additional coverages. I have emailed U-Haul immediately and have not gotten any type of response on how they are going to rectify this. I'm not sure if it was the rental location that added this charge or how it got on there. I've rented from U-Hual multiple times in the past and have never had this issue. I would like a refund of the $40 ASAP.

Don't bother, no help whatsoever. They said they would be available for trailer drop-off at a certain time, then upon arrival they were not onsite. Asked us to wait an hour and a half for them to come back and assist with trailer. Ended up doing it myself. Dropped off the truck the next day, same guy said we were lucky to be there at that time as he was ready to leave,even though we called him 15 minutes earlier to let him know we would be there. Making a customer feel like shit is great business. Again, don't bother.
