Do not hire anyone from the Florida location I rented the vehicle from, and move them to this location in Texas where I dropped it off. That would be my recommendation.


Equipment's wheel and gear shifter where a little sticky (dirty). The rest was just great. I rented a 26' last week from same location and it was perfectly clean inside and out.

Trailer not clean in back. Had to drop trailer 35 miles from requested drop off location - different city. We were told by a U-Haul rep we had to talk to a regional mgr but unable to. No answer on Kevin's phone no call back.


the personnel was nice helpful and apologetic. My unfortunate experience was not fault of the personnel that help me at the Irvine location. They were good people and I would use them again and again and refer a friend. Uhaul wrote me two contracts: • 835469897 for the rental of a 6x12 trailer from Saturday November 21st , 2020 @ 1pm to Thursday November 26th, 2020 • 715083-00106774 Reservation was for a second floor storage room to empty the rented Uhaul into My Uhaul experience: • Picked up trailer on 11.21.2020 at 1pm. Uhaul facility security gate was broken. I had to lend the facility manager tools to take apart the drive gate motor. I then showed the employees how to reset the drive gate and how use the emergency release lever to manual shut and open the drive gate. Fortunately as a contractor I knew where the first responders emergency release lever was. I also was kind enough to give her the part number for the round motor run capacitor ( that went bad) • The previous renter of my trailer left a paddle lock with no keys on the doors and I had to personally cut the lock in order to gain access to my rental. The dallas facility did not have the proper tools on premise to cut the lock. • Arrived to Tustin Uhaul 5 hours early only to be told onsite the 2nd floor had no service elevator • Lastly was overcharged $43.10 for a trailer late fee. I arrived at 7 am 11.26.2020, 5 hours before my rental contract expired. I was informed then and only then the second floor had not service elevator. All of your major competitors Cubesmart, Public Storage, A-1 etc. Disclose on the their reservation form and contract whether the location has a service elevator or staircase. This is an essential disclosure factor and violates ADA disclosure requirements as well. I was assured and promised that I may keep the trailer until 7pm Friday and would be credit $25 for the nonuse of my rented moving blankets ( this was as courtesy for my inconvenience) to make new storage facility arrangements. I was charged for everything plus late fees, I went to Tustin facility on 11.28.2020 and nothing was done. They Said call customer service and file a claim. I called customer service on 11.28.2020 and filed a complaint and claim. I was told to wait three business days, today is the 4th business day and nothing has been done. This email to notify you that I will be contesting the full balance charged with my credit card company for the following reasons: • 1 hour delay of my time to make your company security drive gate operable • 2 hour delay of my time to remove the previous customers paddle lock • 1 hour delay of my time to fill out paperwork and walk the Tustin Storage facility and discover on my own ( I was never told ) there was no service elevator. • 3 hours delay of my time finding a new storage facility on Thanks Giving • 2 hours delay of my time driving back to Tustin Uhaul, Calling Uhaul Customer Service, and writing this email. The assistant wasn't knowledgeable on how to correct errors and explain things well. I was waiting at least 30 mins or more to get everything correct . I rush to get my truck return the same day and wasn't told I had till 11 am the next day . I end up playing for extra equipment because she couldn't remove the equipment from my order , so I just kept it so I can get out of there .

This is the worst uhaul dealer Ive ever visited. Totally incompetent staff. Made a reservation online but took them more than an hour to provide me with the keys. They are totally unsure of the process. When renting, they said toll charged will be mailed to address on file. Never received any. Later got an email from uhaul stating that I owe uhaul the tolls plus 11$ admin fee. Ridiculous place to do business with. The old guy at the front desk(I assume he is the owner), is rude and unapologetic for the wait. He got bad attitude and doesn't respect the customer.


I like the lobby area. It's warm and inviting.

Terry was very helpful when we rented the auto hauler.. He is an employee to have... he was able to help and answer any question we had -- hooked up the auto hauler fast and had me on my way -- Terry was great -- When we returned the auto hauler -- that -- was another story -- Bad experience -- you had 2 girls in the office (NO MEN) -- I could not back the trailer and neither could the girl helping me -- instead of her just letting me park the auto hauler behind the fence close to where she wanted it -- where I could -- for her to handle later -- and let me be on my way --No -- she called around trying to find someone to help -- also she could not get it off the ball of my truck -- so that she and I could push it into the spot she wanted it. (yeah--me having to push this trailer into a space) After 20 - 30 min. a guy (think was owner) came out and he starts telling me again how to back it -- finally i told him to back it -- he backed it but he back it into the wall -- left slight intention in wall where he hit -- I think next time I will let Terry rent to me but might drop off (return) to a different location -- maybe then will get someone that knows what to do.


Clearer return instructions. I'm still uncertain of when we would have been charged the $20 convenience fee, or why. I think we avoided it, but I'm not sure how.
