The maintenance in the van was not up to date. It needed an oil change and the tire monitor was showing low air pressure of the rear passenger tire. I also noticed that it had a bolt in the tread area. The tire blew shortly after I got on the interstate and I waited nearly 1 1/2 hours for the repair to be done. I spoke to 3 Uhaul customer reps. Only one of the three showed any empathy and extended my contact to allow for the down time. The other two had sharp responses to my questions and seemed to just be going through a script to move on to the next call.

The truck'driver steering was terrible! There was too much slack in the steering wheel. It was hazardous at highway speed. Although I did not use the dolly, I was charged for it. It was already lpose when I got the truck.

Manager Amber Ray was excellent in answering all my questions preceding the rental as well as on the day we arrived to pick up our 20' truck, appliance dolly and 12 moving blankets. I would recommend this U-Haul location to anyone in the Jackson, Mississippi area as long as Amber Ray is on the job. Five stars, Amber (*****)!

This location is great. The trailer I rented had a slow leak in one of the right rear tires. My problem was with the corporate Uhaul personnel I spoke with in Customer Service and in Equipment Tracking. They refused to resolve my problem in a reasonable manor and were fine with my driving back to Jackson with a trailer that should not have continued to be driven. Thank goodness that the representative at the Jackson office was understanding of my situation and worked out an equitable solution. She had more TRUE customer service savvy than the wonks at corporate. Because of her, I may actually rent from Uhaul again.

When a customer make a reservation give them what they ask for. They need to know if another customer has a reservation for the truck you're renting. I had to pay for an extra day because my request wasn't put in the system right. So u-haul owes me $30.If you can't rent a truck out tell your customers or you'll continue to get bad rating. And the corporate office guy I think his name Dick, told me that they was going to refund my money but he talked to the store manager who wasn't there and changed his story.I'll never rent from u-haul again unless I get my refund and will never refer anyone to rent from you. Not being mean but I was cheated out of $30, I don't have money to give away.

The call center that answered the call for the reservation was not helpful. I needed the floor width inside the wheel wells to fit a large piece of furniture and tried four phone calls to get this, unsuccessfully. On the last call I was told that all vans had a completely flat floor. Upon arriving at the pick up location, I found there were wheel wells protruding on the interior floor. The attendant was very helpful, and luckily the clearance worked but with a margin of only 3 inches to spare.

i am very displeased with the location and being charged extra mileage when I gave the Madison city zip code, but had to drive 20 miles more to drop off the truck. please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Made reservations in advance for truck and storage. Didn't have the right truck, didn't have the right room. Clerk didn't set up 24 hour access as requested. Couldnt get in. Missed my flight the next day because of it. Spoke to customer service. They offered to give me half off of the truck rental charge. I was charged full price then an additional $35 for moving pads that I didn't ask for and we're not listed on my original paperwork.

I requested this location, went in and was told they didn't have my equipment, it was at a location over 30 minutes away. I asked the counter person to call out there and make sure it was ready. He told me he didn't need to call, he knew it would be ready. I then drove out there only to arrive at a closed location, I then had to drive back to my originally requested location that is 4 minutes from my house to get a truck that had been on the lot the entire time. I also requested and paid for blankets that were not available, so I had to waste more of my time driving around the city borrowing old blankets from friends. This was a truly horrible experience that wasted over 2 hours of my time.

please have a full tank of gas in trucks at the time of p/u that way there is no guessing on the the return of the truck as to where the amount is on the gas gage. I put gas in my truck upon return based on a partial tank but still got charged for gas Not a happy user

1st we got there at the scheduled time to pick it up and the truck was not there. We had to go app. 20 miles north of there to pick it up. Then, had to drive it back to Jackson to get it checked out to us. The truck was dirty inside and out, pop bottles and pistachio shells all in the cab. The truck was on empty, had to put gas in just to make it home. Oh, when we picked up the truck, no one was at that location. The keys were left under the mat. The lady in Jackson was attaching our Chrysler 300 to the auto transport when she noticed the passenger side wheel strap was broken. She tried to replace it but couldn't. So, she used zip ties to attach it the best she could. Said it would hold. We drove home and loaded and I noticed both of the wheel straps were flapping in the wind. We went to the Pearl, Ms location and they replaced the broken wheel strap and fixed our car to where it was safe to haul. We had driven app. 100 miles when we heard a loud pop and then about 10 seconds later another one. BOTH of the front tires on the auto transport had blown out and BOTH were on fire. There was no fire extinguisher in the truck. Luckily, MDOT was working close and used all the water they had to try and put out the fires. They would start back up. The fire dept. came and I was lucky enough to get our car off just in case it started back up. My wife was on the phone with roadside and we finally got a replacement auto transport. So, on picking up the truck, it cost us an hour worth of time, having to stop in Pearl to get them to fix what should have already been fixed cost us about another hour. Then, when the blow outs happened, that cost us 2 1/2 hours. Luckily, our car and everything we had didn't go up in smoke. Because of all these incidents, it added 4 1/2 hours on to our already 12 hour trip. I also had my wife, who has COPD, and our 2 pets with me. I want to know why can't I be reimbursed for some of my cost? I paid a 1000.00 to go rent a U-Haul that was not there, have a U-Haul's employee put my vehicle and other people's lives in danger if it would have come off and then evidently rent me a bad auto transport.
