This pick was the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul and I have used them dozens of times. The first reservation I made in early August, I was told the day before there were no trucks available and if I wanted one the closest dealer was 30 miles away that had a 10 foot truck. I rescheduled for September, and the day before I received an email to confirm my pickup for 7:30 PM the next day. I called to confirm and specifically asked how late the pick up location was open. I was told 8:00 pm by the agent over the phone. So I arrived at 7:20 pm, ten minutes BEFORE my scheduled pick up time and 40 minutes BEFORE the quoted store closure only to find the location had closed at 7:00 pm. Piss poor service all the way around.

When a check engine light is on don't lie and say all is fine. The truck broke down 3 times in 4 hours. The altenator is bad, had to be jump started each time. The last time was when we went to fill up 2 miles away from drop off. It broke down at a gas pump, with a line ofcars trying to evacuate from hurricane irma. However the gentlemen who I turned it into was kind, helpful, and understanding when I requested a partial refund.

Customer service sucked. Personal truck broke down so I could not bring dolly back to location no one wanted to help. I've been to this location mmm any times this year and have never had a problem. Was told at the Atlantic location I wasn't gonna be charged two days later I got called saying I was and I was gonna be charged 172.00 when I was told 84.00 for a one way. I will never be renting from the blending location again.

Upon my inspection of the trailer at home after loading the trailer I noticed the lower passenger side tail light was not working. The trailer's passenger side ( right ) turn signal was working as intended. When picking up trailer I was inside operating the turn signals and hazard lights so I did not notice lower right tail light was not working until after loading, after U-Haul pick up location was closed.

Service rep were very defensive, I did not feel they cared rather I Renee from them or not, the truck was very old and the steering was dangerous, when I spoke two them about how unsafe I felt they explain that this was normal, I even left extra gas in the truck because I was promised a $10.00 refund and it never happened. The system needs to be organize. My issue is when returning the van cargo. When I left the U-haul I decline the $10.00 insurance. When I signed the papers with an estimate of 35 miles, my total was $48.36. The employee, mentioned if my mileage is more then the total will increase if less than 35 miles then I will get a credit. When I returned the cargo van within 2.5 hours, after getting my receipt then added an additional $6.38 with 30 miles that I drove the cargo van. I couldn't understand why I had to pay an extra $6.38 with a fewer miles, I should of receive a credit of 5 miles fewer from the original estimate. Apparently, after is all done and said the additional was for the $10.00 insurance that I have decline at the beginning of signing the contract. Why is U-haul's system has glitch when checking out and not adding up correctly, when is a simple math. When I came in to get a credit of $10.00 it was a hassle. They had to call the corporate to get a $10.00 credit, they can give me the $6.38 credit but will have to at least wait 20-30 mins for an additional credit of $3.62. It wasn't worth it to wait an additional time for $3.62. When I returned the cargo van, the system should of been correct, gave me a credit of 5 miles fewer than my original not up charge me for something I decline.

Renting the van from this particular U Haul on Blanding Blvd was a pleasure & a great help. 'Another UHaul' in close proximity wanted my credit card info the night before when I called- saying she "had to have my credit card information in order to hold a van for me ! I refused & found this other location the best day- walked in & rented a van with No problems & NO reservation!!!

I've rented over the years many times from this location. But on this day 8/7/17 of my return of a 5×8 trailer I had to wait a little over 30 minutes. Normally they do timely and good service. But the wait threw the rest of my day off costing me time and money. Be sure to have enough trained agents on duty.

Manager was rude, clearly in a bad mood and made me feel like I was aggravating her. I understand it was 7am on the 1st day of the month and she was alone but none of that was my fault. I rent from uhaul quite often and this was the worst experience.
