Got the uhaul thinking we were going to return it to the same location. After we left hurricane Florence got worse and we tried to return it in a different place. This particular truck had to be returned to the same location but I wasn't aware of that. My husband had to drive back 5 hours toward a hurricane to return the uhaul to the right place. I know business is business but these were extrodiary circumstances and they didn't even try to work with us. This ended up costing us way more than we expected in an already stressful time. Thanks a lot uhaul. If at all possible we will never use your vehicles again.

When i called and spoke with a person about renting a truck I was told that you would match the mileage fee if for the same size truck and same rental rate. Penske had the same truck for .10 a mile cheaper. Also when me and my friend arrived to pick up the truck our guy was josh. He did not walk around the truck at all and then got an attitude because I came back in with a list of stuff that was damages and or messed up on the original truck like a gash in the tread of the tire on the right rear outer. My buddy was like man could he be any ruder about doing his job. So then we went inside to see about getting a different truck and was told that truck just came back from the shop there is nothing wrong with it. So I was talking with the lady that works there about other trucks and we started talking about the F550 and 650s I asked if she had heard about the recalls for the cams and lifters on the 6.8 she said rude as hell thats not a thing. (I am a ford factory tech that works at a ford dealer) the Josh came in and was rude as all get out and said sir we dont need help with our trucks lets go out side I will get you another truck. So while he sped off in the truck I started with he was backing up the new truck and almost hit another truck and just had a poor attitude about the whole thing. I am sorry I didnt want to rent an unsafe vehicle that had other damage done to it the could possibly lead to an accident or down time.

I set up the rental, day before pickup the location changed to somewhere farther away. Got it changed to a closer location & the agent asked where we'd be dropping it off after completion. I said we aren't familiar with the area, can we decide when we do our delivery? She said we could return the trailer to any location of our choice. So we go to return it to a location 3 miles away & they wouldn't accept it. I called the number on our drop off receipt and spoke with a Tiana (she stated she was not obligated to give me her last name). RUDEST employee ever. You can bet we will go thru any dealer other than this one & a negative review will be left online about this employee. We were trying to get the dropoff location changed because when I made the reservation, I was told I could do that (by the 800 UHAUL rep). She refused to let me speak with a manager or anyone else. She had a real ghetto attitude & I doubt you want to be represented this way. The manner she spoke to me was appalling. So I called the 800 number to try to get the problem resolved, sat on hold for over 10 minutes & ended up hanging up. We ended up driving the trailer 20 mins out of the way because we could not get assistance from the place we picked up from, the place we were trying to drop it off at or the customer service center. UHAUL will definitely be a last resort option in our future.

When I looked online, there was a location that was at least 2 miles closer to my house that had the size of truck that I needed. I made a reservation for a location that was listed, I got a phone call back stating that they didn’t have the truck I requested and didn’t get the $50 credit that I s guaranteed when you make the reservation. When I returned the truck, it was 8:02pm and the doors to the location where still open. There were two guys standing there bullshitting and they told me that I had to use the drop box because they were closed at 8:00pm. I will never use you guys again.
