I generally like this location and the professionalism of the staff, as compare to other U-Hauls in the area, however I do have one major grivence, the solication phone calls. I rent frequently from this location and have asked on several occasions to stop phoning my number soliciting "a month of free storage". Today I was phone by staff at this location 7am-ish on a Saturday morning for "free storage". Later when visiting the location to retrieve a reserved rental I asked the clerk to please add my number to their "do not call list' or make a note on my account no solication calls. The location owner/manger jumped into the conversation not so politely an explaining they called because I made an online reservation and there was nothing that could be done about. I rebuttled that there are New York state laws against this and that if a consumer request their number to not be called with solication phone calls by law they have to honor the request. He basically blew me off. As such I have moved forward with filing a complaint with Consumer Protection. Asked representative if my rented van takes gas or diesel. Says he wasnt sure. Didnt attempt to inquire what type of fuel my vehicle require. I will incur extra charges if my fuel requirement isnt met. In order to avoid penalty charges, rep should have more knowledge regarding vehicles in their care.

Have the Gas full so that I dont have to guess how much I have to put to make it at 1/4 mark. I return the truck with 1/2 tank while I picked up with 1/4 tank. I should get some money back.

Stay open later than 7:00 pm. The location is very abandon and you cannot get a signal to check in rental after closing. It took me 2 hours and no one on the phone would help until my brother got a Tamica on the phone.

The van sometimes wouldn't switch gears. Eg. If we were in drive, but later tried to switch to reverse, it wouldn't reverse, and would still try to go fwd. But we realized, if we switched it off, and restarted , it would go in the gear we wanted. Aside from that, worked, and drove smooth.

U can let them see The storage Bins beforehand the Day of or before the purchased of an storage.And allow the person to make a decision on their own.Not by being bribe in you thinking you have to Accept a. Bin right and there.You'd people only let a Customer see the perfect floor Examples on your Floor that is in your face.And to me it's Not fair tothe Client who you already has chosen them a NumberAnd once you log in a number.U can't change storage.In which this is not working with client and professional working with tbem.This is Supposed to be for theClient.And its really not.We are not given a choice.Only A Number.This is bad dealing professional for Customer.That u don't cut a brake.Or don't underst.

First of all i was told i could get a truck in a different location then I received a phone call they didnt have it so i had to pick it up from a location that was really far. We should have the convinience of dropping the truck off in any location if the location we requested dont have the truck on their location.

Better cleanliness on the equipment, U-Haul should not rely solely on a customer returning a vehicle clean without thorougly washing it before renting it out as it happen to us having to clean the truck for almast an hour.

Vehicle driving seat was not able to move forward and backward. I have to change my vehicle. And also I went to drop off the vehicle and U-Haul app was not able to find my order details for almost an hour. Than I had to call Customer care department. And than they helped me. It’s was very frustrating. I don’t like the service.

The loading dock is horrible and small. A car was stuck in the bay because a truck was not parked straight and the car had to wait 20 min until the owner came down from the storage unit...i had 2 couches stored and covered with furniture pads along with a couple of other pieces of furniture. When I took the moving pads off the couches there was mouse droppings and mouse urine stains that smelled and discolored the couches! The manager Shawn was understanding of the situation. After I took pictures of the damage and rodent evidence, Shawn filed a claim with the insurance company.
