The vehicle had a small missing mirror it would have been better if the mirror was replaced before the vehicle was rented . Never the less the vehicle was perfect for the move.

I planned to reserve one 10' truck from Rego Park U-Haul location such that I can walked over to pick it up from my relative's home at Forest Hills (My home is in far east Long Island near the Stony Brook area) in order to drive to NY Manhattan for my kid's moving from one apartment to another apartment over the weekend. When reserved by phone, the U-Haul has never mentioned to me that I have to pick a 9' van, instead of a 10' truck, from Jamaica U-Haul office which required me to take subway there ! If U-Haul could informed me during the phone conversation immediately, I would have many other options for rental arrangement (for example, get a friend to drive me to U-Haul, or change the pick-up location, or change the van/truck size, or change the moving day, ...etc.). Since the availability of truck/van and locations can be easily and quickly SEEN on PC screen, such improvement should be easily achieved by U-Haul in the future !

Only recommendation I would have is to have more personnel on duty to assist with the heavy traffic flow. Certain, customer may take additional time for processing transaction.

I used the Express Check-In which was a little slow but I was surprised that went I finally got to the end I had to go inside to get the key. If there was a line inside it really wouldn't have sped up my check-in.

The place looked dismall, the floors were cracked and the unit floor had so much condensation it was slippery. The furniture dollies were so small I couldn'tuse them to move the big furniture items I had, we had to carry everything to the elevator. People dumped old mattresses, broken furniture, or pieces that they didn't want in the lobby

Honestly, I don t understand the calculations of the mileage this time. . I was told it was a 1.98 per mile. My figures were less than the cashiers. However, I usually have an overall good experincece U Haul. Please remind them at this location that when a customer pays for two dollies to have them placed on the truck. I paid for two and when I arrived at my destination to load up, I only had the small, which made it very difficult.

I was not informed that you could not pay for a cargo van reservation in cash. I had to head to my bank (on a Sunday) and deposit the cash in order to reserve the van. This delayed my moving for over an hour. This should be stipulated on the website, which is not.

I made a booking that included a furniture dolly. No one from the location contacted me prior to getting there to let me know that it was not available. It was very disappointing to get there and be told that the item was not available. AND it doesn't appear to be available at all as last minute I checked another nearby location that had nothing.

The customer service in my time of need was great. I was about travel to Florida, but due to the impending hurricane had to change my plans. Your Customer Agent Naas was able to find me a storage unit to acomódate my things on short notice. With a Smile!

You definitely need to hire more staff at that location. During the time I made the reservation, picked up the van and dropped it back off there was one lady doing everything including moving vans, signing them in and showing customers to their vehicles. The wait time was really unacceptable however this was offset by the courteous, professional manor in which the young lady handled herself as well as the customers. I don't know how much you pay her but she deserves a raise.

You will need more customer service it gets so busy which we have to wait longer on the line and I rent at least 3/4 times a week a truck over there.. it's always one person the customer service people are great you just need more people working there so that's why I'm give it a poor review
