I picked another location to pick up our rental truck but we were redirected to this location. Opening hours were at 9 am but no one was there. We along with two other people waited until two guys showed up 8 minutes late. Neither one said one word or apologized and went indoors and shut the door on us. The other two people went inside and said “Are you open now?” Once it was finally our turn to pick up the keys, the one man checking us in was grumbling and saying he’s not in a good mood today. So it’s safe to say, that the star rating at this location is accurate and for good reason, beware.

Hello, I picked up a 15' truck on Tuesday 7/29 from Painless Auto located at 18261 Ca Hwy 108 in Jamestown, Ca 95327 at 10:12 am. I was helped by Austin. I went to the truck and took photos of the outside and also of the odometer reading. The odometer read 67,466.7 and just under 1/4 of a tank. It also said 66 miles to empty. I also noticed that there was some spilled drinks, maybe coffee or a soda along with chewing tobacco and the matts were dirty. My contract had said we had a 1/2 tank of gas so I went back to talk to Austin and also picked up the drink and chewing tobacco and threw it away. Austin said he would make notes about it and he would update it in the computer and I was ok to take it. On my return back from Sonora I stopped to get gas and filled up with 19.79 gallons @ 4.69 a gallon and paid 93.00, When I returned the truck in Scotts Valley on Wednesday 7/30 my ending odometer reading was 67,466.7. My total miles I drove was 167.6 and just over 1/4 of a tank and 93 miles till empty. I was helped by Jennifer and explained to her that I actually left 3 more gallons than when I started. She had said we were fine with the fuel. I blew out the inside of the truck and washed the cup holders with water and rags. I was the only person inside the truck and never opened the passenger side. I only had two bottles of Kirkland/Costco water and recycled them. I was able to return the truck a day early and was hoping to receive a discount if possible and waive the charge for fuel also. I attached starting and ending photos of the odometer mileage and miles to empty to show I had more gas left in the truck. I also provided the gas receipt. My contract said we had 190 free miles and 2 days for it to be returned. I received a bill for both extra miles over 190 for $29.00 for an additional 29 and $ 60.00 for 10 gallons of gas. The bill came to $97.68. I contacted Amanda and asked for a refund for those charges and she assigned an order for it and provided me a conformation number 5425195. I hope to be reimbursed for that bill. Some one listed the wrong ending mileage. I provided photos of my start and ending mileage with date and times and also my gas receipt.
PAUL FService was fast, friendly and helpful!
VICKI AInformed the location that the truck would be dropped off in Oakdale but was later charged for wrong drop off location
SUSANNE BMake sure there are tow hitches available. Not everyone owns one and it would be easier to rent one for cheaper than having to buy all the equipment to put it together. If it is offered in the website, it should be available in site. Other than that it was great. Customer service ajd hospitality was there. The guy working there was very cool ans made sure everything was on properly before I took off.
