My original U-haul in Alturas was canceled while my husband and I were already mid drive on our way to pick it up the next day on Sunday. We reserved a hotel for Saturday night in Alturas and pick it up the trailer the next morning at the U-Haul there in Alturas. I booked the reservation both the U-Haul and hotel room 2 weeks in advance. U-haul cancelled our reservation for Sunday because the U-Haul in Alturas wasn't open on a Sunday. Why would I be able to reserve a U-Haul on a day they're not open. Make it make since. My husband and I live in El Dorado Hills, roughly 6 hours away from where we reserved the U-Haul in Alturas. My husband and I were on a tight schedule, we both had to be back to work Monday morning, so this was a really big inconvenience for the both of us. The dispatcher that called said we would have to drive 40 miles on Sunday in the opposite direction to pick up the trailer we desperately needed because only Bieber had the next closet trailer, which ment we would of made an additional 80 mile round trip on Sunday that was not originally planned. I couldn't cancel the hotel we booked in Alturas either. The hotel in Alturas has a no refund policy if cancelled within 48 hours of the booking, and I wasn't ready to lose $151 for a hotel room. We were about an hour North of Reno when when U-Haul gave us the bad news. I didn't want to make an additional 80 miles round trip on the day we had to head home. I told her there are 3 other U-Hauls on our way to Alturas between Janesville and Susanville. Which one will have what we need? She said 2 of the 3 didn't have the trailer we needed. The 3rd one did have it but they were closed at already for the day. So I asked the U-Haul dispatcher what would be available now and roughly in the direction we were going. The dispatcher said Chester. So I said, Okay. We were picking it up there, today. We get into Janesville, on our way to Chester, which is about another hour away in the opposite direction were we need to be, and we see the car trailer we desperately needed at the Uhaul off the side of the road. We pulled over into the parking lot of Dollar General just up head past the U-Haul to stretch our legs. Seeing the trailer we needed there in Janesville got me a little miffed, especially since we past the turn we needed a mile back that heads into Alturas. So I decided, What the Hell, I'll give them a call, the worst thing is either no one picks up or the answer is no. Thankfully, someone did pick up. I explained to him the situation, I know they were closed, but I had to give it a try. I forgot his name, I'm sorry, I'm bad with names, but I owe you one. Really, I do. My husband and I are so greatful to you. We were able to rent the trailer there in Janesville. So thank you, thank you, thank you. I also like to make a shout out to the woman who helped us with the paperwork for the rental. We absolutely appreciate you too! You were so helpful to us, Thank you. The both of you really made our day. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

DONALD AWeb/app is useful but inconsistent with what is actually available at the Janesville Pizza Factory location. I do not trust the app. The people at the Janesville rental location are the best and understand everyday life and the needs of the customer unlike the app. The app can confuse you into purchasing items and service you do not want or need. Last trailer rental the app said my local rental location, Janesville Pizza Factory, did not have the trailer available and directed me to the Sparks Nevada rental location. That would have added an additional 222 miles to my towing task and approximately an additional 4.5 hours. I called my local Janesville rental location and they provided me with excellent service and the trailer I needed to rent. Hot tip, do not trust the app. Call the Janesville rental location direct. U Haul, you wanted the feed back, please fix your app. Unfortunately I will always feel I have to call to confirm if I ever use the app again. An extra 222 miles and 4.5 hours of time is an unacceptable U Haul app glitch.
