I drove over 2 hours to pick up a reserved 26 foot truck just to find out when I got there that they only had a 15 foot moving van. Nobody from uhaul notified me prior to me driving all this way and wasting my weekend when I was supposed to be out of my place by the weekend.

I had an issue with my return because my contract and the truck we’re different. I had to swap out a new truck in Austin but it never reflected that on my contract. Stan was so delightful to deal with and so helpful that it made me grateful for the great people of Kanab

Not to make promises about the size- I wanted the 17', was given an order for the 20', but the day of was given a 26'. More is better usually, except that it was more difficult to maneuver, and there were red flag warnings that day (empty large truck on interstate). I was disappointed because the store had said (on the phone with uhaul and me standing there) that they would get the 20' truck for that day if it wasn't at their facility.

I have rented from this location (and many others) before, so my basic information was in the system and my info came up when I called to make the reservation. The woman who took the reservation was knowledgeable and efficient in entering all my information to the current reservation. When I arrived to pick up the trailer, the man at the counter could not seem to find any of the information I had given the day before and typed it all in again with one finger. It was painfully slow. It took me a little more than 40 minutes to pick up a trailer! I was very disappointed by the inefficiency that cost me a lot of time.

When I picked up the trailer, I was very pleased with the attention and service but when I turned it in, I was horrified at how close I'd come to killing others due to an oversight on the p.u. site's part that had neglected to wrench tighten the ball joint's hitch adequately. When I dropped it off, the nut had loosened enough that it was a miracle that neither I nor anyone else had been killed. The person at the p.u. site seemed experienced and competent and I'm sorry to have to report this but it truly is a matter of life or death.

Rental location was great and people were very helpful and nice. Truck, however had a lot of dirt inside and was not swept out prior to my renting.

1) the website never assigned the reservation to a physical location. Luckily I called the location I was planning on picking up the equipment from and they said they don't have the equipment requested. This resulted in the reservation being shifted to a second location that did have the equipment available. 2) The woman at Crosby's had no idea what she was doing when it came to the UHaul rental process. After speaking with customer service for 10 minutes she just handed me a set of keys and said the truck should be out back somewhere. 3) The transport trailer assigned me didn't match the serial number of the one and only one in the yard so I had to make sure she updated the serial number before I took it. I was also provided no help in attaching the trailer. Again I was simply to the trailer should be out in the yard somewhere. 4) I had requested (5) dozen blankets. They had no idea where they were located. I ended up spending a full hour collecting individual wet and dirty blankets out of the back of various trailers. 5) The truck I was provided with had a flat tire that I learned of after leaving the lot. The front tire only had 50 PSI of pressure, not the 110 PSI required. Had I not noticed it and taken it to an auto shop for air it could have been a deadly trip. 6) The actual truck was in rough shape. Something was broken within the driver's side doo that squeaked and rattled the entire 600 miles. Summary) I am not impressed. Moving oneself is really hard work without having all of these issues thrown in. I will thing long an hard about using UHaul as my service provider for my next move.
