Truck was horrible! Too much play in steering wheel made it feel like a boat. It rode rough like the shocks were bad. The truck wouldn't start and I had to jump start it!

Make sure there's actually somebody in the building. Waited 25 minutes before anybody came and assisted us. Then when we dropped off the vehicle it took them 15 minutes before anybody was able to assist us to check it back in. Overall very unsatisfied with the customer service. And the vehicle should be maintenanced a little bit better. Seem like the dashboard was going to completely fall apart on me.

Loop the chains rather than twisting them, so they don't drag. Your video shows the chains looped, but the guy that hooked mine up twisted the chains thinking that would take out enough slack, but it didn't. After I heard it dragging I ended up re-hooking the chain like in your video.

It was a busy Sunday morning and the line was very long to speak with someone. Each person that worked there had to not only check the customer in but also get the rental trucks and go over all the details with the customer which made the process even longer. If there was someone else getting all the trucks, it would have been a smooth process. I felt bad for the employees because they had to constantly run back and forth.

When I arrived to pick up there was one guy working the desk already with a customer. When he was done with the other customer, he radioed to someone and told me to stand out front to wait while someone brought the truck around while he went to the back not to be seen again. 10 minutes later a guy walks up and asks if I've been helped... He is bring up my reservation and I have to give him drivers license and run my credit card again even after I told him I did all of this online ahead of time... I will not be renting from this location or U-Haul ever again.

When we arrived, we were told we needed to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel, so we went to the nearest gas station. The gas gauge read "half", but it took 30 GALLONS!!!!!! When I returned with the receipt, the counter staff person was not in the least bit helpful about figuring out why or making amends in any way about a faulty gas gauge. In fact, he seemed dis-believing until I showed him the receipt and suggested he copy it. No suggestion or apology about compensation for that! We felt VERY lucky we didn't run out on our trip! Then he told us we needed to fold every single blanket and put them back in the bags or we'd be charged some ridiculous amount to have him fold them. REALLY? Are they not washed? We had NOT been told that, and were very angry with that, ON TOP OF a faulty gas gauge! Returning the vehicle was a miserable experience! The young man needs customer service skills, and U-Haul needs to make sure renters understand all of these nuances! We were exhausted, frustrated, and unpleasantly surprised about both the gas gauge and the folding of the blankets; the counter person (don't know his name) did not have the skills to manage the conflict. He became very irritating and then so did we!

I rented a 5'×8' cargo trailer and paid $197 for 4 days. That equates to almost $50 per day. I think the price on the trailers should be reduced considering the fact that I had to drive 10 hours with some heavily rusted lug nuts on the trailer. I was worried the entire trip that some of them may break off, especially when I went over extremely bumpy roads. It was clear to me that the lug nuts had not been serviced or lubricated in quite some time. If customers are going to have to travel on pins and needles due to the condition of the equipment then I whole-heartedly feel the prices on the equipment should be reduced somewhat. When I went to drop off the equipment at the uhaul in Texas even the gentleman at the Texas office commented on how old and rusty the trailer was. On a more positive note, the facility where I rented the equipment from was clean and well stocked and the staff were very professional and helpful. And the facility where I dropped the equipment off had wonderful and polite staff. Thank you.

The 10x10x8 storage unit isn't really 8ft tall. I am 6ft and the ceiling was only 6in above my head. Overall, I love this location and plan to use it in the future!

THese guys saved my UHaul experience from being a nightmare. Even though the Lawrence location sent me to a place that was not in opporation any longer and the woman on the phone gave me the wrong address. They apologized for the other employees and then they helped me get out of there quick since I was an hour behind.
