The U-Haul experience it's self wasn't all that bad, but this auto dealer location was terrible. Right ton the arrival, there was literally only one parking spot, and was then told I couldn't park there, and was instruct to peek in the center of their small lot. I then went inside the dingy, small, office space, and dealt the most in friendly person I could possibly imagine. They literally had multiple posts on the wall that had hulk on it, that said "aditude will be met with aditude". They also had a racist poster of an Asian woman with the text "hurry up and buy". During the purchasing process, I was offered moving blankets, which I asked for, but never received- I was shocked when they actually remembered to take it off my bill. One of the employees also cut off the person driving my car while she was trying to get out of the crowded car lot. The truck was good, but the experience was terrible.

Never use that vendor again at Blue Ridge Auto Outlet at 9320 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO 64138. My husband and I were screamed at, cursed at, threatened with bodily harm (among other things), all because we took safety measures in locking the key in the vehicle. I apologized repeatedly, but it obviously wasn't good enough. He just wanted a target, and we happened to be it. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service was appalling to say the least. Those gentlemen should never be in business. They are representing U-haul and giving the business a bad name. At this point in time, I will not be recommending them to anyone,and unless the matter is addressed with me personally, my first experience with U-haul may be my last. Thanks.

The gentleman at the pick up location was very nice. He made sure that the military discount was on the invoice. When I made the reservation I called to see if one was offered and the person I called said you did not offer one. When the person called to confirm the reservation they said that haul did offer one and added it to the confirmation. I think everyone should be informed that one is offered.

The trailer was in a severe state of disrepair and was not maintained. I mentioned the horrible state of the tires and my concern that the trailer was unsafe. Was told that it would be okay. Once loaded a tire blew on the freeway in near rush hour traffic. Waited almost 4 hours for repair.

This location indicated that they were open until 6:00 pm when we picked the truck off. We arrived at 5:10 pm and the location was already closed and the gates locked. No one answered the phone number on the contract so we had to call U-Haul's 800 number to figure out how to return the truck. Frustrating!

My truck was supposed to be ready at 10:00. The employee did not arrive to open until 10:06, then told me to go sit in my car and wait until he opened up because they didn't open until 10:00 and he had to take time to open. The truck was finally ready at 10:30. Employee never apologized.

Building was extremely hot and attendant didn't seem to know what he was doing. When I reserved the tuck online I indicated that I wanted truck for 6 hours but was told after I went to pick it up that they closed in 1 and 1\2 hours. And I couldn't return it until Monday. Making me late for work. Furthermore I was told that they opened at 9am s d no one showed until after 10 am and he check another customer out before me giving her my receipt and didn't say any uh ntil the lady return and inform me that she had my receipt.

The owner of Blue Ridge Auto Outlet LLC does not know what customer service is. We received no greeting when we arrived. I didn't know until he told me that he closes at 6pm. My reservation was at 3pm, which I paid for 4 hours. I lost an hour that I paid for. I think I should have received a courtesy call prior so I could change my reservation time instead of losing an hour.

The guy was very very rude from the beginning to the end of the process. He quoted one price and charged a higher price and did not want to explain the difference. When we were asking him questions he told us he did not have time he had a business to run. Mind you there were NO customer on the lot or in the office!!! I will NEVER EVER use that location again nor will I refer anybody. I will always use and encourage others to use the corporate operated locations only. It was quite unbelievable!!! Will never see my business again at that location. Ever!!!

I would warn prospective customers that pricing info & fees will be charged & you'll have no idea what they are until its too late, expect the bargain options to magically be unavailable for your needs, so you will pay more than you had anticipated. I'd only recommend the service to enemies, I'd send friends somewhere else
