The truck was dropped off after hours and the dolly locked inside the truck. So everything should have been great. Before returning the truck, I stopped at the Shell on the corner and purchased $10 of gas to put the truck back to the 1/2 way mark like I received it from the pickup location. Imagine my surprise when I received my receipt from the drop location and was charged $10 for 3 gallons of gas. I was tired from the move because we finished early and decided to return the truck the same day instead of the next morning and didn’t remember to take a picture of the gas tank to cover myself. Additionally, I paid for 70 miles and only used 53 so there should be a refund issued as well. I won’t ever use this location again because of them charging me the exact same amount of gas that I stopped at the Shell to put gas back into the truck. The cameras should show that the truck was returned and then I realized we hadn’t gotten the gas and we went to the Shell, got the $10 which brought the gas hand back to the 1/2 tank position and parked the truck on the side of the building because it was a 26’ and couldn’t fit in the parking space in front of the parking lot and removed the dolly from the back and locked it in the front seat of the truck before dropping the keys into the drop box. I’ve been moving and renting a U-Haul truck since November 24, 2025 and this has never happened before.
JULIETTA HI have rented many a U-Haul trucks, this was by far the best experience. The gentleman was both professional and pleasant to transact with. Plus he processed the rental in less than 10 minutes, making the process swift and painless. The van was easy to pick up and just as easy to return; it was clear I was in good, kind, capable hands. I will recommend this particular location over and over again, and I look forward to renting here again in the future.
HELENA GThe van was not cleaned properly and I reported it to the staff and said I can return in the same condition. I had to blow clean the utility area after reaching home. The van reported that air in the tires was not enough and reported that to the office as well but was told that it could be due to the temperature and nothing to worry. Looks like the air pressure sensor is not working and it showed the warning all the time. I was afraid the whole time if something could go wrong during my rental period. I noticed some scratches and dents in the car while picking up and reported that as well and I couldn’t upload the pictures too. I was told that I could take and keep pictures for my reference. And also I was told that since I paid $15 for the insurance I need not worry. Yes I have insurance but I can’t accept liability for something that already exists just because I have insurance. This is the first time I had a different experience at U-Haul.
