First, our original rental location did not have a vehicle ready upon our arrival. We were sent to an alternate location. Upon arrival, the facility is in poor visible condition. We were hesitant to approach as it was a rundown home. Upon ringing the doorbell, we were greeted unprofessionally with dogs barking and the owner unprepared for visitors. Several dogs came running out from the backyard where I had to get behind some furniture on the front porch to avoid the dogs. The owner provided do directions on the vehicle. The vehicle had a half tank of gas and when asked on how I should return it, she stated just bring it back with the same amount. The vehicle is a much older unit but given this was the only one, I took it for the day. Upon return, I returned it with a half tank of gas. It was late and I left the unit and keys in the drop box. Again very shady area so we were quick to leave. I have been charged for gas which I disputed - probably unsuccessful. This was our first time renting a vehicle.....probably our last through U-Haul.
RICARDO MI was surprised when we picked the truck from someone’s home in a neighborhood but it was clean the dealer was very helpful, friendly and nice.
