Uhaul advertises that you can rent their trucks either one way or round trip. When I asked for a one way fare I was denied. This resulted in an additional 300.00 plus charge. I will never rent from Uhaul again and will let my friends know as well. This was horrible let alone a violation of their own advertising and marketing schemes.

830 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO is a U-Haul location to avoid. They lied about the van I got saying that it had been detailed just before I got it, while gone they altered the rental contract without my knowledge, and after it was returned, they claimed the dirty van I got from them was damaged and charged me for that as well. I drove only on the highway and parked the van on my driveway when I arrived. They refuse to show any proof on their part and U-Haul corporation only passed my initial complaint to the same party that lied about the detailing. I hit nothing with their dirty van. Buyer Beware...and take photos of all parts of your vehicle before you leave as the U-Haul complaint form has no way to upload your photos. You might need photos should you have to go to court. I have had very good rentals with other U-Haul locations. I will never return to this location. I have used the "use our contact form" link below several times, but have yet to hear from corporate
Fast, quick and friendly. No real hidden charges. I did feel a little tricked there for a min when trying to check out when it moved the no thank you button when offering mover help to the top of the page instead of the bottom like the rest.
The equipment was dirty but in good shape maintenance wise. The employees were not wearing masks when I walked in.
Stood in an empty store for 20-30 minutes until and an employee showed up. I actually had to call the location while I was standing inside the store, for someone to notice. Someone could've ran out with several items and they wouldn't even have noticed! Once the associates came to help me, they didn't even say hello or sorry for the wait. One if them also wasn't wearing a mask. When they hitched the trailer to my car, the chain was dragging on the pavement as I started driving away. I stopped my car and tried to get someone's attention to help me fix it, but the girl literally hid behind one of the vehicles in the garage. I was being extremely polite regardless of how frustrating the service was, but they still treated me like I was interrupting them. I will NEVER return to this location after that.
I walked in and one of the cashiers had no mask on in sight. (blue hair woman) and her boyfriend came in through the back of the building.. also without a mask.. they had a 10 minute conversation while I stood there awkwardly waiting to pick up my truck. Then they kissed and parted ways to ostensibly get back to work. The whole thing was totally ridiculous. Truck's pretty expensive for what you get + having to pay for furniture pads when you already have the truck is absurd.
I drove maybe 32 miles total. It was 14 to my new place and 14 back, give or take a few from the usual location. Yet I'm being charged for 96 miles of driving??? Either your mileage wasn't updated from the last user, or the speedometer was read wrong. On top of that I was good for 60 miles in town either way, and didn't even drive that much. Please fix this.

Repaint the lines in the parking lot so folks know where to park their cars, park the trucks, and areas off limits or not to block. It's mayhem when it's busy!
Running lights on trailer did not work, had to use warning lights. Rear door very difficult to raise. Trailer needs some work. Personell at location were nice.

Nothing! The lady that helped me on Sunday 12/27/20 (I think Jessica) was positive & outgoing. Helped me hook up the car dolly & explained to me how to operate it. She was great!

Contactless should be contactless. They did not have the vehicle pulled up to the front, it was not warmed up. Yet other vehicles were. And the a.m. associate was very rude.

My order was changed 7 hours before pickup from a cargo trailer to a utility trailer, and then I was told that I had to get a bigger cargo trailer and charged extra for it. If possible I would never use Uhaul again.
So rude. Took it back early. Guy told my husband just leave it there. When I went inside they told me I need to check it in. Went back outside to check it in. The Guy had already started checking it in and said that he will charge us an extra $20 for gas..... It was at the correct amount as our paperwork. SO my husband used 2 MORE MILES to go put in MORE GAS. The Guy so rude had no mask was trying to speak to me right in my face, I literally asked him to back up!!! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM FOR COMPANY AGAIN. I can't imagine the charges is received head we actually just "left it there" for the guy to check in. The bumper was also messed up on both corners, he probably would have tried to charge us for this too!!!!
Ordered blankets to cover stuff but they weren't given. I got that removed from the bill at the end.

Store was filthy. I've been to automotive shops that was much cleaner. A man and a woman had to figure out how to process my rental on the computer. Neither of them told me they charged my credit card twice and issued one credit. I used a debit card and this ended up freezing funds on the amount of both transactions. The lady outside who hooked the trailer to my vehicle was thorough and quick.
Anastasia was tremendous. Customer service was excellent. She went above and beyond to help me, not only with this rental, but also to help me schedule another rental for later this month.
This location does not answer the phone when called, so the call rolls over to a U-Haul call center. UHaul doesn't staff their call centers at any adequate level, so I had to hold over 20 minutes EACH time I called. I showed up at facility, stood outside and called the number and watched to see if anyone was paying attention to the phone. Phone rolled over to central line. I went into the facility to see two employees sitting in the shop, building a bicycle with no phone near them. The phone line needs to indicate that "your call is being rolled over to our national call center" so callers can decide if they want to simply call back - or wait on hold. That still doesn't excuse the facility not even attempting to answer the phone.
My fiancÃ© and I had to move in hurry and we were not sure about which company we were going to through to rent a truck for a good price. We shopped around online and we had seen the many different reviews for this location but ended up stopping in to see what we thought about it. There were two amazing ladies working and come to find out they were both the managers of this location. Jessica and Anastasia helped us so much! They walked us to their back area where they keep the trucks and showed us the different sizes and helped us choose which one would be the best fit for everything we had. We also inquired about getting a hitch installed on our vehicle so we could possible tow a trailer instead of getting the truck. They pulled up what our hitch would look like and explained how they would put it on, not only are they the managers but they install the wires and hitches on vehicles! I have never met a woman mechanic before with as much knowledge as they had about our car and how the hitch would be set up. We ended up deciding to go with the truck and they made us a reservation for Monday morning. I was a little worried about my fiancÃ© having to move everything by himself because I am pregnant but they were quick to offer finding us a moving company that would load and unload everything for us. We ended up not needing the movers because thankfully our friends were able to help us. Jessica explained to me the express check in and showed me how to upload all my information so that on Monday it would be easier to sign the paperwork. Come Monday morning Anastasia was working and was very busy but she was able to get all the other customers out quick and efficiently. She informed us that our truck got dropped off over night but she was going to clean it and make sure it was ready for us. We watched her clean and sanitize it (which is very important with this pandemic going on). When she was done she got our information pulled up, we signed the paperwork and she gave us our key. She even walked around the truck with us to make sure everything was right with the gas and the miles. It was the quickest I have ever received any type of service. We were able to return the truck before closing time and Anastasia was still there and checked us in and got us our total and emailed the receipt. Jessica and Anastasia gave us the best customer service we have ever received, I will definitely recommend Uhaul and this location in particular to all my friends and family who are ever in need of a truck. These two wonderful ladies definitely care about the job they do and every customer that walks in the door. It's so hard to find people now days who take the time to do their job with as much care as they did. Thank you ladies for making our stressful move a much, much easier one!
