The people there did not know what they were doing the girl behind the counter especially; they charged us for two days but we returned it the same day, they didn't give us a credit. Our original contract was for one day but they did not bother to do it one day they did it for two not real happy, we will not use this place again.ROBERT G.

Took more than 45 minutes to pick up rental some due to payment issues but mostly because management would stop to chat with employees, answer telephone calls and have leisurely conversations... at one point called myself and my sister Christine Blakley â€œbrokeâ€.... very unhappy ... was charged 110 dollars for going 86 miles, less than six hours, and a full tank of gas.... insurance added that wasn't asked for... will be leaving a bad review of uhaul and Sam's auto and glassGina D.
I was slighted an appliance dolly and when I called to complain, I was informed it was my fault for not checking before I drove an hour down the road. To be fair I understand double checking the renters promise would have saved me some trouble. I don't necessarily believe the fault lies with the customer. If this isn't resolved I'll never rent from uhaul again and Sam's obviously lost my business.NATHAN S.
the online check in only left me no options but to use my phone online which I never do nor wish to do. I still had to check in at the location in person, still had to hand my driver's license and credit card to the counter person. So why the online requirements that I did not want to do? I was also asked if I had a wife/kids and had to give out personal info (Wife's phone, email etc.) that had nothing to do with the car carrier rental. I arrived one hour early and was told I couldn't have the trailer until my 1pm reservation. Very unhappy with this process and will not go through it again. If I had any other options I would not have made the reservation in the first place, Have used U-Haul many times in many places in the past but this may just be the last time I do.George D.
The equipment (utility trailer) was not easy to get to. It was even more difficult to drop off, and if it was dark forget it. The equipment had some damage from previous rentals, but did the job I needed it to do. I did reserve the equipment, and the equipment was available the day of the rental.Benjamin D.
Discourage after-hours pickup. It's a remote location with spotty internet and phone service. I was told by an employee of the pickup location that I could call that number if I had trouble after hours. I did have trouble and I did call and was refused help by the owner of the business. This was 40 minutes out of our way in the middle of nowhere. My pick up place was NOT guaranteed, and I was NOT informed until the night before. Furthermore, there was NOT a furniture dolly in the truck. We paid $10 for something we didn't even receive, and the lady on the phone said there wasn't really anything we could do since I still needed a truck to move and the closest truck was 40 minutes from our storage unit. I booked the truck a MONTH in advance. I'm not sure how a truck company couldn't get a truck from Lathrop MO to St. Joseph MO within a month, but it didn't happen.James M.

First of all they didn't have the 26' truck I wanted at any of the locations in the nearest town despite booking my reservation almost 2 weeks in advance. Then at the last minute I was set up at a pick-up location almost 40 miles away. This forced me to change my plans and get the truck after hours which involved the self check out process. The pick-up location was very poorly lit which didn't allow me to complete the pre inspection process properly because I couldn't really see anything well. Only in the light of day the next morning could I see that the cab was fairly dirty with a few dead flys on the dash. Also, instead of the 12 blankets I requested I was given an appliance dolly that I didn't need. Upon returning the vehicle to the drop off location I was then charged about$120 on fines for a cleaning fee and the "missing" blankets that I never received in the first place. Maybe I should have kept the dolly for myself?! I will call customer service to hopefully resolve these issues but otherwise I will post this review on every website possible and take it up with the BBB if need be.JASON L.

Contract shows I got 60 blankets but they only had 39 now they want to charge me 210.00 also the a/c was not working on the truck. That was nice 500 mi trip tried to contact roadside assistants could not get anyone to answer the car hauler was not on the contract now they want more money. I would like someone to call me about all this I can't wait 30 min to an hour for coustomer service any moreShelly P.
My last rental I was told to drop off here on a Sunday. This location was closed but I was able to call the owner and he let me drop the trailer then he checked it in for me after the Holiday. He is very helpful and friendly.shane J.

However on this Saturday was the day the U-Haul computers were down and the gal named Britney from KC [(913)-287-1888], who had called me Friday to confirm, had no interest in helping me with my reservation. This is not a negative on Sam's Body and Glass. The St. Joseph, MO office didn't book our reservation correctly, so when my husband went to pick up the trailer, it was not available. We even went in to the store to reserve it, and purchased a tow hitch. However, we were glad to have someone work with us on the 800 number, and get the trailer booked at Sams. It was a bit out of the way, but we were glad to get our tasks done on the day we had taken off work.Kristin M.
