Seeing that I have rented from this location many times, this time was disappointing. My check-in was over the phone and went smoothly. However, I was able to complete the check-in with photos, mileage check, or gas level confirmation. After logging in to my U-Haul account, the mileage and fuel were incorrect. Had I not checked, I would have been charged for several miles and gas that I did not use. The transmission in the truck jerked really badly whenever you tried to stop, shaking the entire truck. The passenger door was damaged and would not fully close, so the dashboard light stayed on unless you slammed the door really hard. The truck also lacked a loading ramp, making it difficult to load the furniture and large boxes. There was no compensation offered for the issues I endured, just a simple apology.

I am an event planner and rented a truck to transport my décor. When I picked up the truck, everything seemed fine until I drove away. One of the tires felt as though it was going to come off while driving, which made the truck feel unsafe. My pickup time was 7:00 a.m., and the rental location was not yet open, so I was unable to exchange the truck. I also did not have time to deal with online customer service because I was preparing for a wedding event. The worst part came later that afternoon when we started loading the truck. The cargo area smelled as if someone had vomited inside, and there was dirt and dust throughout the back of the truck. I had to spray it with Lysol, clean the entire cargo area, and let it air out before we could begin loading. Even after cleaning it, the odor remained. We loaded a large number of blankets and protective covers to safeguard the wedding items for my event. It was very disappointing to receive a truck in such poor condition, especially when transporting items for a professional event.
